I have very much been enjoying your stories about your life with your boys and your job. I am enjoying listening to them very much. I wish you the very best with all of your writing. I also wish you a very merry Christmas. Patricia.

Kids have a very different view of looking after babies than adults do and I am glad that no child was injured with these incidents Barbara, although I did see the humour here too. It's not easy bringing up a young family and I sometimes worry about my Grandson who gets angry at times and throws a tantrum! Kids don't see the dangers in anything, only the fun. I enjoyed your story and thank you for sharing this with us, love Dolly x x x

Thank you for understanding. After raising boys, I wonder how any boys every live long enough to become men. LOL

I have one with Greg using our dog, Codi to attract girls. I may post it next, or two weeks later. We'll see. Thank you for the support.

Excellent writing, Barbara. My
late husband's birthday was
March 17th. You pen with such finesse. I love your family stories. Still getting over a cold that's hung around
for 12 days, think it morphed
into mild bronchitis. Blessings of the season to you.

I think this is a wonderful humorous post about the funny ways teenagers adapt themselves to chores given them by their parents. They seem very intent on having their looked forward to fun despite the responsibility you laid on them, and the incident with the brother being used as a football was just precious. And then there is that time honored trick of using the little brother as an attraction to girls, who for some reason are attracted to these cute little kids. Lots of personality in the writing and honest dialogue brings this to life. estory

Barbara,
What a wonderful story!! I lol'd.
Your son, Greg, sounds like a very sweet kid, and why not use a baby as a babe magnet!
I loved this story, Barbara.
Good luck with your book.
Blessings,
Cindy

I look forward to your 'bringing up the boys stories' . Boys will be boys always .Using the baby to catch babes.. I smiled reading that. The baby would have loved all the attention .. But using the baby as a football...well thank God he didnt drop him!

This sounds like a perfect setup. Not only was your younger sons protected by older siblings, the older boys learned responsibility and had the perfect chance to bond with their sibling.

So Greg was tossing the baby to his brothers who were also in the kitchen?
What a character - and I am glad they were skilled enough not to drop him!! You certainly have some stories to tell!

Lots of fun memories here! I suspected that Greg would use Steven as a "babe attracter" but never anticipated that little Steve would be used as a football!
You probably already fixed:
You're supposed to [be] watching your brother."
