Super conveyance, touching words pounding repeated truth within my heart: absorbing this deep message to humanity. I wonder if anyone else is listening? Great read, in my given viewpoint.

spoken true, spoken with wisdom from someone that has experienced life through another perspective of looking forward to see our children live freely to experience life. On life's terms. Thank you sharing your words, I am proud father of 2 beautiful boys that I want them to achieve all to be the best for this world to see. Looking forward to reading more of your work

My parents generation never bothered about their children emotional well beings. They clothed us,fd us and protected us form danger .But they never put much thinking in their dealings.. In the guise of being strict ,my mother often would say hurtful things.. This is true of many of my cousins friends etc...I feel this generation of parents is much better .
very thought provoking poem Roy..

Children can be abused emotionally from childhood. As they learn from adults, it can be destructive to their lives later on. For what they thought right, was wrong. Anger fumes when they realise the adults have showed them the wrong path for life. As children we needed learning and guiding on the path to our Maker. Kxx

Thanks for this great reminder. I keep having to tell my grandchildren not to scar each other with terrible words toward each other. I hope I can impress on them that they are loved by the Lord and worthy because He loves them. They don't get that kind of teaching at home. You have taught your daughters well so that they are raising a wonderful generation, godly and strong!

They say the first seven years lay the foundations, and as you say Roy, many children come from decaying and cracked foundations. A very dramatic black and white presentation that goes well with this topic. We'' written, Roy.

This is such important message! Words are powerful and often leave an indelible mark. Why is it that we so often remember the words that are most hurtful? Thank you, Roy.

We are remembered by our actions by contemporaries. However, by subsequent generations, we are remembered by our children. Children are a treasure from the Lord. What the future knows about us, they learn through our children.

What a haunting picture that drew me in. That last stanza was powerful. You find obscure words with such meaning and power. "Hide like lepers in fates holes." "Garments cloaked in blood." We need your gifted voice in broken world.

Things that happen to a child can scar his or her life forever. Having to endure school bullies is one problem. Some grow up in homes with abusive parents who may be alcoholics or drug addicts. I have read stories of successful people who have made it despite their poor start in life. All children deserve a good start in life. I like your description of the tormented children hiding in leper's holes. Great rhyme, but why is there a Y after flood in the second stanza? judi
