Every stew needs a stirrer. I know I can be, and often am, a pain in the caboose. But there's a certain amount of value in that. Besides, once in a while I'm right. You know I took on the Devil's Advocate role in order to bring conflict into our story--every good story needs conflict.
But I never argued just for the sake of argument.
I totally agree that Terry cooked this bird. But each of us brought a lot to the table. I liken Terry to the gravy. Smooth and engulfing. I'm the hot sauce one might drizzle into the gravy--a few drops goes a long way.
Yes, Ann, it's been almost a year since we embarked on this odyssey.
If you look at all the decisions we had to make during that time, I'd say we came away unscathed. We can all claim ownership, and rightly so.
Would I do it again? With the same talented group? Sure. As long as I get top billing again. Hey, I yam what I yam.

Lee, our story would be lacking in so many ways without your input! You brought to the table ideas that readily occurred to your talented brain and allowed all of us to benefit from them. I am so glad I have had the privilege of working with you and your natural writing and sales talent. I hope everyone will tap into youtube to hear you and your guitar. Thanks, Lee.

The feelings are mutual, Ann, Your contributions haven't gone unnoticed, nor unappreciated. I'm something of an acquired taste. In my business, a big part of my role was to clash--with clients, account execs, art directors and copywriters. but in the end, I always delivered a product everyone was proud of. Our group offered very little resistance, but my style contrasted with Terry's. Didn't conflict, just contrasted. Early on, I couldn't find my role. But once I had a book in my hands, things started coming together for me. I had a physical product to sell. Suddenly all was right in the world.
We won't know until the season has past how well we did. But I'm comfortable saying we gave it one hell of shot. I'm proud of our efforts.
Given our experience and the marketing tools we've developed, can you imagine what we can achieve next year?

I can't wait, estory! I promise to purchase a copy as I certainly your fantstory additions. I also have another book coming out the end of this month == Growing up in Rural Louisiana. It is a 560 page memoir that has take over a year to put together. When you visit my website, you will see it there along with a couple of other books I've written.
