well said and timely message. It is time to end all of this animosity and ethnic hatred being driven by one of the candidates and his MAGA movement, his latest rally at Marvin Square Gardens was a really hate festival.

I agree and it is only because he knows that a sizable number of citizens are so small minded, hateful and greedy. they will allow him to do what he wants as long as they can have apiece of the pie that they don't have to work for or share with somebody that does not look like, live like, or think like them.

What a timely, honest, from the heart poem! As I watched the hatred and vitriolic rhetoric spew from Madison Square Garden, I was appalled not only by the lies and hatred being fed to the crowd but by the crowd's enthusiastic reception to it!
I can't understand how hating our fellow citizens of earth will amount to anything but injury or death, or decimation of families torn apart in the name of "deportation."
Surely there is a better way to handle this than racial slurs and comments like: "... immigrants are 'poisoning the blood of our country..."
We've seen how this ends. With Concentration Camps and genocide.
I'm praying for Divine Intervention to soften the hearts of haters...
One week to go before the election.
This is frightening!

I very strongly believe that the end of this wicked system is very near. I do not believe that God will allow much more damage to be done to his planet or his people. He is going to bring to ruin, all those ruining the Earth. That ruin is pollution of trash and of trashy thinking.

I had a plumber here today who was incensed that I was not voting for "his" candidate. I worried about his anger.
There was no room for discourse. He was IRATE and, at 65 years old, unable to connect to any sense of respect or exchange of thoughts.
How long can this go on? I agree, Nomi--
God must be impatient with the inhumanity!

You have a lot of racial discrimination and hatred in the states that we don't have in our country. I don't like the idea of singling out any particular race for praise as I believe that we are all equal and are entitled to the same opportunities. The only discrimination is quite rightly on education. If you have studied and achieved then you get the best jobs no matter your status in life or racial background. I hope things improve over there, a poignant post, food for thought, love Dolly x

Thank you Dolly. Hatred is not welcome no matter where it comes from and no matter who it is directed towards. It must end befoere the ones practicing it are themselves ended.

I agree with your words. It is past time to get together and live in peace. We are so divisive right now. I like your line about how we are one species, so true. I also like how you mention God who does not approve of all of our going against each other. Excellent use of words for our current situation in this country.

Thank you it was definitely inspired by the current political climate.

Such a perfectly timed presentation for this poem after seeing the latest speeches given at a Madison Square Garden rally. I was saddened beyond words that so many in this country go along with the feelings demonstrated. I pray we see a reversal of this thinking soon. If not a reversal of the thinking perhaps just less outward demonstration of it. Thanks for sharing

Thank you. I am sickened by the overt racism displayed by people who obviously do not realize that they are being filmed and they will not be able to walk back their comments.
-
Do they not know they are being filmed or do they just not care? I wonder.

They are saying what they think their leader wants to hear. Just in case he wins and looks in favor at them. Poor fools, the man is only loyal to himself.

God created as equals and we should be treated as such under the law. At one point, every one of us had an ancestor who was an immigrant unless you are full-blooded Indian. My family is a mixed race and I do not want to see my grandchildren treated any differently than someone else. I pray the Lord knows how to stop the crazy shift in our society.
Hugs, Carol

Oh fear not, the day is coming when the punishment that is due will be meted out.

God created us all in His image. That should all be what we're concerned about. Before I retired from teaching, I taught at a Bilingual school. Half of the teachers were from numerous different Hispanic countries so were from all different cultures and in all different skin shades. What I was interesting was they said in their countries on questionnaires they weren't asked to identify themselves as black, white, Hispanic and all the rest of the identifiers. They were all Mexican or Puerto Rico, or whatever. I feel that speaks volumes. We are all Americans, let's leave it at that. Sorry about my soap box.

No need to apologize, you have every right to sate your feelings. Do not ever allow anyone to mute your voice. You are an eloquent speaker, so speak as loudly as you wish to.
