I actually didn't imagine he's agree to go quite so willingly especially as he hadn't been prepared for this to be sprung on him. But this is a good pause for everyone to take stock of the situation. All skilfully developed in the chapter, this initial stage of separation will be interesting.
Small edit: At shortly till three?
Thanks for sharing your excellent story, Beth. take care Debbie

The company had talked to him about getting help before and he turned it down. This way he realized he'd lose everything if he didn't take the offer. Interventions are usually surprises and 80 to 90% agree to go, but that doesn't mean in will result in success. Thank you for the review and comments.

I felt a bit sorry for Trenton as everyone was ganging up on him. With any kind of addiction, it is the person themselves who should decide to get help, no one can be forced as it never works. I know they are all trying to help, but he is a grown man and they are treating him like a child. Another great chapter in your story here Beth, love Dolly x x x

Whew! This went better than I would have expected. I wonder who would let Trenton's secretary know about his long absence. Is she really having an affair with him? Would she be fired?
Hope the kids take it well . I wish more companies would provide this as such treatments are terribly expensive.
Typo:
They told him they were proud of his discission (decision)

Excellent right to hear and it flows very well when it is read aloud and I wish you the very best with all of your writing. Also, wish you a wonderful week and may God bless you and keep you safe. Patricia.

Thank you, Patricia. I think you accidentally gave me two stars instead of the usual five. Since I'm sure it was unintentional I hope you will fix it.

Yes, I did make a mistake and giving you two stars. I met five and I have corrected that for you.

Pretty rough stuff. A man might go either way.
Very well written. It was a nice (very credible) touch to have the wife resort to reading.
Best wishes.

Hmm, no real choice. Well, yes, he had several real choices. I will say, I expected to hear the comments from the characters present and be shown Trenton's reactions through the stages to agreement. Without that, it seems he went too easy.

Maybe I didn't make that clear enough in this chapter. They can't force him to stay if he later decides to leave and face the consequences. Most people initially agree to go. Thank you for the review and comments.

I know that this is quite literally how this is done but I can't imagine being the one it is done to. What a life-altering change without time to think. I understand why it has to be done that way though. Good chapter.

Yes, it would be hard to face that choice but when there is everything you've worked for to lose otherwise, most people go along with initially. If the decide to walk away and face the consequences later they can't force them to stay. Thanks for the review and comments.

Very well done, Beth. Trenton had two choices to go to intervention or lose everything he'd worked for and say no. He was lucky that his partners thought he was worth the effort and help.
