Excellent poem Roy. I do feel like many of us do look back on certain time of our lives and think 'if I hadn't done that, or didn't to this' would things have turned out differently, well of course they would and the most important message for me here is that our lives no matter how it's been, shapes us up to the people we are now. We have lived and we have learned and I believe we are more the wiser because of this. Well done and thanks for sharing!
Best Wishes

There's a great dose of humbleness in this poem, and that's something we need more of nowadays. So many people today seem to look down their noses at others. I like how you in this poem acknowledge your failings and that you need a savior. Today people want to declare themselves their own gods and don't want to hear about the condemnation of the Spirit that brings us to salvation. Most people seem to feel they are above judgement. estory

another reflective poem on the Christian path towards redemption, and regret for past actions and their continuing consequences as you try to walk the Christian path.

We all must lean on Him for strength and trust that He will help lighten the load we travel with.
This image says so much, and your words are, as always, a reminder of the faith you walk in.
Thank you for sharing this poem. It's a little different in form for you, and I like it.

A poem that strikes home to sinners like me who regret their past doings. I thank the Lord for his forgiveness, yet it is up to me to change my ways. "Go forth and sin no more, a hard path for a mortal.

Especially now, feeling so weak and tired, I am dependent on God's Hold . I did not warrant His love years ago, but He still had mercy on me and now I must tell others.

That picture certainly tells a story, Roy. I have regrets, many. But I have to let them go before they destroy me. Trust and faith are incredible things to have, and it is what keeps me going. I'm sure many people have regrets about one thing or another; it's human nature to do things that we later regret. I believe God understands that. This poem is very insightful, my friend. Well done. Lots of love, Sandra xxx

Hi Roy,
Your poem made me think of a song by Don Francisco, called "Give Your Heart A Home". I hope you'll have a listen to it in Youtube. Here are the lyrics...
"I hear your hollow laughter
Your sighs of secret pain
Pretending and inventing
Just to hide your shame
Plastic smiles and faces
Blinkin' back the tears
Empty friends and places
All magnify your fears
Chorus:
If you're tired and weary
Weak and heavy laden
I can understand how
It feels to be alone
I will take your burden
If you'll let Me love you
Wrap My arms around you
Give your heart a home
It hurts to watch you struggle
And try so hard to win
But trade your precious birthright
For candy-coated sin
Wasting priceless moments
Restless and confused
Building up defenses
For fear that you'll be used (Chorus)
Take My yolk upon you
And walk here by My side
Let Me heal your heartaches
And dry the tears you've cried
Never will I leave you
Never turn away
Keep you through the darkness
Lead you through the day (Chorus)
Excellent poem, Roy!
Thanks for sharing.
Blessings,
Kimbob

I am pretty sure that 100% of us have made some bad decisions in our lives. The really great part of that is that we can learn from those decisions and God has forgiven us for them. Once again, thank you for sharing your Godly talent with us.
