Thank you, Wendy, for your kind words. Much needed at the moment. I have both a sister and a brother who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. It breaks my heart as I know the journey all too well.

This is a beautiful expression of what love is. I like that you've compared it to each of the seasons. I love your use of color and the various senses you included. I also like the alliteration beginning each stanza incorporating a season. My favorite simile is the North Star lighting 'the way towards home.' Nicely done! Best wishes in the contest. Carol
