Sami and Noah's relationship seems to be developing well, although I don't think it will be easy for him to change after so many years of suppressing his feelings. They've still only known each other for less than a month, so it's early days in their commitment to each other. It will be interesting to see what they discover about Amber and Jesse.

I am curious about the Amber-Jesse connection, especially since Sami came across the information about them in the letter. I think I'm beginning to see daylight, but I'll wait for the information. This is great. You have done an excellent job of building up the Sami and Noah relationship. We're finding out about what happened to Amber. This is an intriguing story, and it's a coincidence Sami was led to the attic to discover this information. judi

This was an interesting chapter. I figured you were spending time on Amber because she was going to turn out to be Noah's grandmother but if that is that is the case I don't know why Amber's daughter would have given him up for adoption. I guess I'll have to wait and find out. I enjoyed this chapter.

Such a sad story about Jesse and Amber, but there must have been a lot of relationships like that particularly in wartime, but I guess we'll find out more about Amber and Jesse in due time. And one detects the relationship between Noah and Sami developing quickly, perhaps marriage is imminent, beautifully written Barbara, blessings Roy

Yo didn't have to break that fourth wall at the bottom. It's clear you always have a reason for what you write. I'm anxious to know more about Amber's situation. Please keep'em coming.

I liked the diversion of Amber and Jesse. I love a little story within a story. As gifted a writer as you are, I knew there was a purpose for this sub story. It wasn't a random anecdote. Really good. Gretchen

Thank you for the kind review. Some people are still questioning it. I would never put something in a story without a reason.

Yes, I'm wondering about the importance of this relationship. But it's certainly stirred up Sami and made her very emotional, even broody. And Noah is disclosing a lot more than usual. We'll wait and see. An excellent chapter. Take care Debbie

Of course, I want to know more about Amber and Jesse and what their relationship has to do with Sami and Noah. At first, I thought if the baby had been a boy...but you closed that door...so now I wait! this was a great chapter with lots of emotions and thoughts on what can and might be. Well don.

I say it because it's not the original threat of the human traffickers. We're done with them so no more problems with them.

I don't mean you. I mean, is that the language or description (at work, to others) a person in his position would use? In other areas, he is portrayed as very professional.

Okay, I now understand. I'll think about that. I was worried my readers would get confused. You do have a valid point.
