This is a nice tribute to Nomi. I didn't know her, but I can imagine the grief he is suffering. 51 years is a long time to be with someone. Your words for his grief were expressed well in the poem.

A beautiful and emotional sonnet, Jessica in memory of nomi's sad loss. An echo trails his steps- a particularly poignant line. Beautifully written.

Wish I had a six for this exquisite sonnet!
How blessed Nominated is to have this book to see him through those darkest hours...
"And harder is the rise without his wife;"
Stunning!

This is an exquisite sonnet, Jessica. I am sure Nomi is most appreciative of the outpouring of condolences, love and encouragement during this difficult time for him.
You have captured eloquently the ephemeral loss that is overcome in time with faith.
Very well done.

You managed to fuse strong emotion in this. As man, and you writing this was interesting how you capture that pic. or image and built a story of powerful love lost and the travails and trials to stand and live. Bravo!

-A very nice image and presentation, Jess.
-Your notes are appreciated.
-You wrote a very good sonnet for Nomi.
-I'm sure he will appreciate it.
-A very good opening verse shows
the impact of experiencing a great loss.
-You follow that with very good examples
of trying to cope and "stand against the waves,"
but it is very difficult.
-A very good volta changes the focus because
"she's the light" that he needs, and
"darkness won't prevail."
-A very good closing couple.
-Thanks for sharing this heartfelt poem.

Oh this is so beautiful and touching. I'm sure it will bring great comfort to Nomi. Excellent Sonnet form with perfect rhyme and meter, along with lovely imagery.
There is sadness in the first two stanzas, but the third reminds Nomi that she is safe with the angels.

Yes, I think you've nailed the loneliness thing, that is the secret, I wasn't happy with the first tribute I wrote Nolan, but to capture the essence of imposed loneliness is important, this is beautifully written Jessica. The imagery is so important in poetry, well done, blessings Roy

Beautiful poem and written by someone who deeply understands what grieving feels like. Yes, Nomi will stay strong in faith and on the chosen time we will all rise to meet the Lord.

Wonderful sonnet and a great sympathy piece for Nomi in his mourning. I thought it was correct to form, you had a wonderfully balanced, sober yet hopeful tone, which I thought was important, and the images of the man falling to his knees in his grief and then praying beside his wife were quite poignant. It was a very visual piece, more rooted in here and now imagery than symbolic imagery, and that was a bit unusual and I liked that. You seemed to capture the heart and soul going through this loss, and you used this graceful form to full effect. Impressive. estory
