It sounds like this lady mitght be having second or third thoughts about the mate she chose. I must admit, on first read I was thinking of your two hopeful Presidency candidates when I read debate. A fun presentation of this Japanese poem, Debi.
cheers

Hi Valda, LOL, I think too many of us have met this man. The main thing is not to marry them. I can't believe how many thought this might be political. But that is one thing that I don't want to touch right now. Thanks for the kind comments, my sweet friend. As always it is so appreciated. Love, Debi

Ah, So velly good Japanese poetry. One Geisha girl make velly big mistake with Samurai man. She cut her hair like his and no mistakes she coloured that hair and he was not the man for her! K xx

Hi Kace, LOL, I think too many of us have met this man. The main thing is not to marry them. Or kinda like you said, she washed that man right out of her life. Is that what you said? I didn't think so. Haha.
Thanks for the kind comments my sweet friend. As always it is so appreciated. Love, Debi

I can't comment on the actual skill of writing one of these Teikei-shi forms, but I can say that I found your poem humorous and you really nailed it with that image:-) I'm just glad I didn't marry someone that I love to hate - "love to love you, baby" is a lyric from a song that entered my head after I read this, lol!

Thanks for sharing this unusual Japanese form with us, Debi.

Or I could put the first letter of my name with "is" in sis and get Pis

Hey Pam, LOL, I think too many of us have met this man. And we got pissed and left him high and dry. How was that, Sis?? Haha. Oh yeah, and the main thing is not to marry them.
Thanks for the kind comments my sweet twin. As always you are so appreciated. Love, Debi

I really like this form of Japanese poetry. I had not heard of it and glad that you explained the format in your notes.
Very well chosen artwork and good rhyme. Nice one. Jen.

He sounds like my brother-in-law who just married his third wife. He always talks them to death. Very good poem to describe my husband's brother. Even he has trouble taking very much of his always talking brother.

Hahahaha, Carol, isn't there one in every family. We have a brother in-law too that drives us crazy and if he doesn't know it all he doesn't want to hear what you may know. OMGosh, he sounds just like our Kenny anyway. That sounds so funny and thanks for the good laugh, my dear. You are so appreciated. Haha. Love, Debi

This teikei shi, The Guy You Love to Hate, has the proper formatting and finds the couple once again butting heads over something they will likely laugh about at the trial.

Haha, thanks so much Bill. I loved your last line. You have me laughing out loud at that one. You are too much. Thanks so much for the fun review and the smile so big on my face, if my husband comes to give me a kiss tonight after I am in bed, and he sees that, he may wonder what I have been up to. Hahahaha!! I hope I have you smiling now!! LOL

This is a fun short poem and you rhymed every line! I don't think the Asian forms of poetry have rhyme but it works with yours and adds levity to rhyme it!

Hi Helen, look at the description of the kind of poem I did. It is in my author's notes. I wouldn't have rhymed it but it called for rhyming. Strange, isn't it? I had never heard of it either. I can't believe I just woke up after time with my grandson after my appointment and a three hour nap. Wow, all I do is drops and sleep. LOL
Thanks so very much my sweet friend, and for the prayers too. Love, Debi

That's totally fine. Sleep as much as you can, Debi. Your body is telling you it's fighting as much as it can. Thanks for letting me know. I didn't know that those forms ever rhymed.

I love the title you've chosen for your poem. It says it all.
Sometimes women (and men, I guess) are blinded while dating and don't choose the right partner.
The girl in your story/poem wasn't thinking straight because she was madly in love...
Thanks for sharing.x

Very cute Tekei-shi for the club! The rhythms are perfect, and the monorhyme is great. The message of this poem applies on so many levels. Blessings. Carol

This was so much fun to read. No being a poet, I wasn't familiar with Japanese poetry forms. But as I counted the syllables of your Teikei-Shi poem, I could appreciate the creative and humorous story you tell.
