This takes me on an intriguing journey of betrayal and deception. It's a little hard to follow with so many character introductions by name alone but once you delved deeper into one of the story lines- particularly Eleanor's I wanted to learn more. There was also the ethereal element of the characters a little hard to follow at first but made clearer toward the end

Thank you for saying you were intrigued by the story. Of course, I understand how it would be difficult to follow since fourteen chapters of mystery have taken place prior to you joining. Something like jumping into deep water and remembering you don't know how to swim. LOL The fact that Eleanor is a ghost has been clear since Chapter 1. Sorry you found the story so lacking that it only earned a three star. Maybe next time, you'll start from the beginning so it's not so hard to follow. I would love to know what you thought of my writing when you had a clear picture. Thank you for trying your best to figure it out. Smiles, Carol

Another engaging chapter, Carol. I was really fascinated to read about Hilda's line of work, I can just imagine the pharmaceutical companies would want to bury such a discovery so they can keep making millions. It is despicable when you think of it. An excellent chapter, I can't wait to read the next one.

Yes, Hilda fits into the pageant because of her research studies at the University. she's young and was chosen to particpate and represent the work they have accomplished. Unfortunately, someone doesn't want the research to go any further. Thanks for the review and kind words.

The truth is slowing coming out. I can't wait for more. I'm sure Eleanor will help Matthew solve this, probably with Garth's help.
Danni frowned and answered with a sneer. (sneer,)
The prisoner stiffened, his throat catching in his throat. (WHAT???)
Thomas hesitated and then sighed, "What the heck! (sighed.)
Eleanor's voice was soothing. "I know you didn't, (soothing,)
Eleanor's thoughts rolled off her tongue. "Naomi?" (tongue,)
Eleanor spoke softly, trying to keep him (talking,)

I'm taking your word on these, Brbara, but my editor says most of them were right...but I know you wouldn't steer me wrong. And the throat caught in his throat...Hmm...that would be difficult. Fixed and thank you!
And Eleanor wasn't done with Garth just yet...

If words come out of our mouths, then it needs a comma. If no words, but can be a sound, then a period.

that sounds like something I should be able to remember...Thanks!

I hope it helps.

Another excellent chapter. Eleanor continues to prove that the ghost life is the life to hope for in the here-after. it sounds like they are on the verge of discovering the fountain of youth, so to speak. No wonder people want to get their hands on the information. A fun read, Carol. Thanks for sharing.

Unfortunately, some people would prefer that the research me buried six feet under and never come to light. The white hats versus the black... Oops! Garth wears a black hat, too! Maybe that's why he wins...they can't tell who is who. LOL

O.k., Carol. There is no reason for you not to be on the New York Sellers Best List by now lol! You are too good of a writer not to be. I have been writing for more than 30 years mostly journalistic writing. But you are a novelist! Go, go, go!

Well, that's because you are a great writer Carol. Not everyone can write. In fact in Florida these days they don't even teach kids how to write. So keep up the great work. You can write a book!
