I so wish that I had six stars to give you! This was so sad and so beautiful that I almost cried, especially the verse about the grandkids because mine are going through some really tough situations.

Monika, I thank you for your very thoughtful comments for my prayer poem.
Truthfully I wrote for my grandkids, but had you in mind as I love children so much and like it says in the last verse made them about everyone that they fit.

You are very welcome, Debi, and I appreciate your reply. I think my reviewing style comes from teaching high school English and commenting on papers. You probably heard your mother say, "You can take the teacher out of the classroom, but you can't take the classroom out of the teacher." I'll have to look up who said that.

Oh no, Debbie, I am so sorry you haven't been well. I thought it funny I hadn't heard from you in a couple days. I did include you as I did write the fourth line for myself and anyone else who lives in chronic pain. And I know that you do too. So I am really praying for you now. Hi Nomi, yes, I wrote the verse about pain for those who may have some idea of how I live my life. I try not to ever complain but forty years of lupus has robbed my health and left me in much pain. However, I will always look for the bright side as there is nothing more wonderful than to feel the Holy Spirit work in us for the good of praying for others or doing something good for others. Without prayer, I doubt I could do that.
But you already know that is what the birthday poems are all about. Feeling that good about doing for others almost feels selfish, but I know God loves me and leads me thru much of it.
Thanks sweet brother for always the uplifting words. And I hope to tell you that I pray for you too. I pray that we will be friends like brother and sister for a very long time.

Lorraine, I want you to know that the verse about the pain, I first of all wrote it because of the pain that I live with daily but had you in mind too. I figure anyone else who suffers like we do should consider themselves prayed for.

Ric,I thank you for your very thoughtful comments for my prayer poem.
My prayers are mostly for anyone who either falls in these categories or have other problems that are not listed here. I sometimes use my quiet times to just pray for people in general. But for my best friends here and at home I pray for them and their families. I just love my time with God.
