This is so clever, Jessica. I've never tried a reverse poem as yet, but I think I'll give it a go now that you've inspired me! I imagine it's a lot harder than it looks. Well done :) x

Hi Jess, I was torn whether to give you a six for this one or the rest of me poem. They are both so good. I knew all week I was coming to you, but didn't have much time so I will review both but it may take a day.

I am really impressed with this poem and the awesome job you did on it. Where did you hear about it? I am not sure I ever heard of it before. But wow, it is so clever and creative too. It looks like it would be very hard too. But then it doesn't surprise me that you can pull it off. Good for you, Sweetie.

I hope it continues to do well for you. I am so impressed with it.
Beautiful job, my dear dear friend. Lotsa love and hugs. Debi

I first thought it was a palindrome poem but it's a reverse poem, as you said.

Interesting theme written with good flow. It's something many of us can relate to.

Well done!

The message is profound as it travels across the mind, seeking a right or wrong; a different point of view, actually a filter for negative thoughts.
Remember, you are "somebody."

-Very nice artwork and presentation, Jess.
-Your notes are appreciated.
-You did a good job with the form.
-It reads well forward and in reverse.
-A good job writing it forward,
assuring us that you are fine.
"I shout my echoed joy"
is a very good image.
-Reading it in reverse creates a
very different impact. I wonder if
it was difficult writing the poem this way.
-You did a great job assuring us you are fine,
but things aren't as they seem.
-Your smile is untrue and
you're falling apart, and the fact
that you proclaimed you are fine
is just a rumor.
-Very well done.

This is my first time of coming across a Reverse Poem, and it makes a very interesting read. I can imagine the effort and creativity in penning down this type of poem with two directly opposite meanings. Well done, dear Jessica. This deserves more than Six Star, unfortunately I have exhausted mine for the week.

How very cool this is, Jess. I'd never heard of this type of poem until now. It looks difficult to do well, but you did it very well. I did a little research about it, and you've got the right name for it. It isn't a palindromic poem in which you read each word in reverse order. In the reverse poem, you read each line in reverse order.

But even a palindromic poem isn't a true palindrome because a true palindrome reads letter-for-letter the same forwards as backwards, such as "Madam, I'm Adam" (discounting punctuation).

Regardless of the name, you did a wonderful job with it.

Jim, thank you for confirming! I had wondered about the palindrome and mirror form, as they are similar. I appreciate you looking into it and your always encouraging words!
