War just goes on and on and yet nature miraculously blossoms amid the ruins, reminding us that there is still hope no matter how darkened those reminders might be. Beautifully eloquent, Gypsy, in such few words. Well done! Take care Debbie

Well very true, life prevails, and even in times of trouble there is still beauty that is preserved by nature. Beautiful poem rendered in just fifteen words.
Thank you for sharing.

Hi, Gypsy

This is kind of sad. It kind of reminds me of 'where have all the flowers gone' that song.

It must be so awful in Ukraine and Gaza in the Sudan, and all the other places where wars are going on for the children and for the parents who've lost their children and for the children who've lost their parents

Whole families get decimated and wiped out.Shanbreen Wrote a beautiful poem about this

Your prom is beautiful and haunting in a sad painful way

Here I really think you should say mother's tears. It doesn't affect the rhythm and it is proper English

"watered by mother tears"

I enjoyed reading your poem

Good job. Thank you for sharing.

Your poem made me remember the song by Joan Baez - Las madres cansadas. So many mothers are grieving the loss of their children.
The last verse goes like this:
Cuando los soldados sus garitas dejaran
Y en las trincheras sus uniformes quemaran
O mi general, tus fieles tropas
Ya se habran olvidado de ti
Y la gente del mundo ya descansara

Oh... what a beautiful Spanish poem. You speak and read Spanish? What.... how did I not know this. You are so smart. How many languages do you speak?

Thank you very much, big sister. I appreciate you always take time to read my poems.

    Abracitos y besitos,

I know French better than Spanish but I can make out the words because of the French! Besides, I can sing in Spanish without being able to speak it! 😊

Yes, French have a lot of words that are similar to Spanish, I guess because they are both romance (not rontic) language with Latin roots.
