You know, of course, that I'm picturing the episode of Charlie Brown in which Snoopy reenacts this! Good intensity throughout. And cool picture to accompany the poem.

You did very well telling the story of the Red Baron. You used an irregular meter, but again, your descriptive narrative was quite good detailing the appearance and the action of the air battle. Well done.

I enjoyed how you wrote this. You guided the reader through an aerial fight where the words formed my mind's vision of the air battle. Stressing the skill of both pilots, knowing one would ultimately win was a good ending.

Another great read, if I had to ask one thing it would be-try not to repeat
actions-as in the use of descriptive words, "the burning triplane spirals downward in a spin" as here-spiral and spin to me they are the same, very well done****kahpot

I think I learned about this famous air battle from Snoopy at first. Your poem has filled in all the details so I have a better understanding of the event. Good rhymes, especially propeller and stellar. Have a great weekend. Carol

Your poem captures the intensity of an aerial battle beautifully! The imagery of the Fokker triplane and the fast paced dogfight really pulled me in. I especially liked the descriptions of the chase. The final lines ended it so well. Great job!

atmospheric and well paced, imagery and rhythm give a good sense of a dog fight.informative as well.Perhaps -of the plane- could be removed from line nineteen, leaving it a.s fuselage.this would save the repetition of the rhyming of plane, just a thought.

Hello Harry! I have always been fascinated by the Red Baron. Your poem has a kinetic energy to it that resembles its subject, and this is very well done. I think the irregular rhyme scheme is what gives this quality, especially with words like "splutters," "shudders," and "flutters." My favorite part of the poem was the simile you used in the third stanza comparing the Baron's maneuver to "bees fleeing from a burning hive." Very good poem with lots of rythmic energy, just like a dogfight should be portrayed! Thank you for sharing your talent!

It sounds like the old Snoopy song which has linked the Red Baron and him together for all time. What a wonderfully written poem. Best of luck with your writing! Have a great day, and God bless.
