It is a very sad thing when people are caught up with addictions of any kind that wind up taking their life. There is help that they can find it sometimes people criticize and just throw them away like they're a piece of trash, but we can if we are talk to these people and maybe help them to see the error of other ways. I wish you the very best in the contest. Patricia.

It's sad, but some will be saved as if by fire, according to The Bible. This was an unusual entry. I'm thankful the Good Side won! A very interesting tale that is significant for those who have not made a commitment to The Lord.

I can tell you wrote with feeling but I am confused I read it three times, and still don't really understand. Maybe my brain is just fried. I sure needed a break from my unpacking. I swear to you the unpacked boxes doubled while I was asleep.
I have found a few things I forgot I had. That's always nice. Well, back to the grindstone. Karen :-)

Interesting reversal, as the demon loses his offer of reform, and is banished, tries to be victorious in snatching the druggie's soul - but the angel wins for a genuinely repentant person will be accepted. A succinct story of the ongoing battle between good and evil for the souls of men and women.

This 75-word flash has a powerful and intense setup with a clear moral contrast between the demon and angel. The dialogue is crisp and conveys the characters' attitudes effectively. The twist at the end is unexpected and dark, which adds to the impact. Good luck

This is an interesting story demonstrating the outcome of the eleventh hour repentance. The fictitious part of the story is that the demon is given another chance to return to heaven. The inspirational message of the story is that it is never too late for humans to say they are sorry and ask for forgiveness. You did an excellent job telling a story in just a few well thought out words. Best wishes in the contest.

An excellent entry for the 75 Words Flash Fiction contest. What a strong story in flash form with a wonderful twist ending. Compassion is there for the worst of us, all we have to do is accept it. Good luck in the contest.

I'm not sure who the angel returned to Heaven with, I know having tasted heaven and being thrown out, never to return, there's no second chances or the fallen angel, but there is for the sinner who says I'm sorry, so I'm going with that, beautifully written good luck, blessings Roy

You're correct, Roy, yes, it was the last-hour repentant sinner. Even when given a chance for redemption, the demon didn't take it. Thanks for the read and kind review.

Excellent post, well into the realms of what I like to read. Last line was awesome, made it finish with a climatic thump. The choice for having a druggy as the role made it more interesting, nice post!
