Hi, Ginda

I wrote a poem on Alzheimer's a little ways back. My mother-in-law had it. Then my husband got dementia and I was afraid he had it too. But he just had dementia. He did not have Alzheimer's and he had Parkinson's.

I was his caregiver for the last five years of his life. It was challenging, but you were right it was rewarding too I'm crying. as I write this. He died about this time last year

Here I am in a wheelchair and severely disabled myself. At one point, I had to sit behind his wheelchair so he wouldn't fall and then he plopped into the wheelchair. Take him back to the bathroom and then push him in the bathroom until he got to the safety bar. Sometimes I would have to change his diaper and that was really difficult for someone in a wheelchair to been down that far. But luckily he was able to hold his leg up so it wasn't as hard. I made sure every need and want of his were taken care of. So he was very content

I commend you for taking care of your father and I commend your mother for doing so also. It is not an easy thing to do but to walk away is unforgivable.

I, like you, hope that this book helps others. I know from certain individuals reacting to my poem that it helped.them

I enjoyed reading your story

Good job. Thank you for sharing.

Pam, you are so sweet to take the time to review and tell me of your own experiences in the roll of care-giver. My husband has PSP, a rare and progressive form of Parkinson's, so I commend you for caring for your husband while facing your own health challenges. What strength! I want to read your poem on Alzheimer's. What is the title? My heartfelt thanks for your caring words and best wishes to you personally.

First of all, congratulations on the second edition publication. This is such a beautiful, although crushingly sad story. This book will undoubtedly benefit so many caregivers. I wish you good luck in your sales and your continued efforts.

Ginda, this will be a remarkable book (and it is a beautiful painting). Your words are so moving, because of the reality and authenticity of your experience. What a wonderful role model your mother was, how wise and insightful. Congratulations on your book. Thank you for letting us know. I am sure it will be helpful for my palliative care work.
Wendy
