I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your 3 sons. I know, myself, I ask God why about things in my life too. I don't understand why things happen.
Your words describe well the pain you have gone through. Your story is so heartfelt. Very well written.

Thank you. I have learned to cope with the losses, I would just like to know why they occurred before I die.

I am so sorry this has happened to you, and I cannot imagine your pain and grief and sense of loss. One thing I do know is that God wants us to be honest with Him, and hears our heartfelt prayers, and never rejects the searching soul filled with pain. No one can explain such things as you've experienced - there are no easy answers. Sending you very best wishes for your entry.

Thank you. I'm seventy-eight and have been asking God why since I lost my last son in nineteen-eighty- five. I would like to know before I die.

This is a heartfelt prayer. And I won't say that your questions are not legitimate. I will say that I am not one who should challenge God. And though I be slain and torn to pieces by lions, yet will I praise Him. Sounds trite, but there are those in heaven that could tell you.

Thank you. Yes, it scares me a little to challenge God, but I would love to know the reason before I die.

You're asking the age-old question in this one! Thousands of people have asked similar questions. Why doesn't God intervene on our behalf when things are so painful? How can a benevolent God who loves us allow such bad things to go on? I really wanted to know what happened to your boys as I read this, but maybe it's too much to review those events in your mind. I could feel your sorrow and I'm sorry for what you've lost.

Thank you. I don't mind answering your question. My oldest son was premature and died after three days. Roy was my middle son and died at the age of sixteen in a hunting accident. Mark, who was born two years after Roy, contracted viral pneumonia and died when he was two months old. My first son's name was Roy, too. he was Roy junior. I changed the middle name of my second son so we could name him Roy, too.

This is a heartbreaking, but perfect entry for the Dear God competition. First I'd like to offer condolences for your losses. It may not be much comfort, but I've heard we choose, before we're born, the trials and tribulations we suffer here on earth in order to perfect our soul for Heaven. Those who choose the more difficult hardships to bear will achieve their rewards. If this is so, it might explain why some people seem to have more heartbreak to bear than others. Your letter is a heartfelt plea for understanding which may or may not be revealed in our lifetime. I wish you peace of heart.

Thank you. Yes, I read the book Happiness Is Free by Lester Levenson, and it mentions that we come to this planet with a pre-set plan for our lives. His theory is that we come here to learn whatever lessons we need to and learn to love. I can't understand why I would have chosen such a difficult path. I would love to know why before I die.

Bless your heart, my dear. I know you've talked about this before and it hurt my soul, too. I don't know what the answer is to why the boys were taken, and I'm sorry it happened. Just my opinion, but I don't believe it's God that takes people from us. I think it's a broken world caused by sin, not ours, necessarily and I don't believe it was yours, but the sin existing in the world out there. I do believe God is there to receive them, though. I believe He's as sad it happened as you are, maybe even more.

Just my opinion, but it's helped me through some trying times.

Big Hugs,
Rhonda

Thank you for your thoughts. They give me something to think about, and you may very well be correct. I wish I knew.

His thoughts are above ours, for sure. It's just the way I was able to handle my own miscarriage and a school shooting nearby.
You still have my very deepest condolences!!
    Much love!

Thank you. I would like to know why God took all three of my sons. It could bring me peace of mind.

It may help not to question, but accept they were chosen for a higher purpose.

Ouch. That's a lot of sorrow you have lived through, and in addition, you also lost your husband in 2018. Who knows how others would react? Was the lost of lives accidental? Then it would be outside God's control, If illness, that's a question to have him answer in the post-mortal realms. Sorry for your losses.

This is just tremendous. It's NOT whiny - not in the least way - and that's why it knocked my socks off. It's posed as a genuine question. Not demanding, not lugubrious, definitely not whiny. I can't imagine what the answer could be from G-d, but I hope with all my might that He provides it before you are laid to rest, yourself. I am sending you nothing but love. xoxo

Thank you for the six stars. I hope he answers, too. I have been asking this same question for years and would honestly like to know his reason.

I am so, so sorry to hear of such a devastating loss. Your letter to God is very well-written, but so heartbreaking. Here on earth, we rarely understand God's logic. All we can do is remain faithful knowing God always has a plan. I am praying that your pain be lessened as you embark on new activities, finding additional, new objects of love. I wish you the best in the contest.

Thank you. I used my love to rescue cats, dogs, and horses. I sure would have loved to have my sons by my side.
