Lol. Good to see you again, with your characteristic good humour and delicious recipes. You make me want to get started on cooking this right away, and it's only mid morning. Plus I haven't got all the ingredients and have Covid so can't go shopping at present. My goal is to be creative with pantry staples and use the fresh produce I stocked up on, (early last week when my husband showed symptoms and then kindly shared his Covid, which I got five days later.) Thanks for sharing this one.
Wendy

Yikes, Covid. Not surprised being close in the same household. Hopeful it?s a mild case.

Thank you for your fantastic review?

There you are! Six stars, of course, because I love your delicious recipes and you had me at mezcal!

I am now craving that grilled corn salad!

(Think anyone would notice me firing up the grill at 11 pm at night?)

Heck...I'd share the spirits and make it a party!

So great to see you back in the (writing) saddle!

The corn salad is very easy. After boiling the corn if you have gas burners in your kitchen stove, this can be used to char it as well. I?ve done that before.

Thank you for those generous glittering stars. I?m honored by them.

Thank you again, and have a great Tuesday. The weather is phenomenal ?

I don't have a gas stove, but I'm definitely going to try this one on the gas grill...

    Thanks for great ideas!

Maybe our absence, as I have been as well, is/was caused by the additional explosion of solar flares penetrating not only earth's atmosphere but our id as well... or if we are alike, the lack of substantive challenges. I mean did you see the one letter challenge where every word must begin with your choice of ONE letter????

Contest sounds corny, but I may enter just to have a bit of fun.

    Thanks for reading.

Well welcome home brother. I am glad you brought the fixings for an awesome meal and some good stuff too. Unfortunately I knew it might not work for me to get there as I had a long doc appt today so we went out to eat and I had two margaritas instead.

I love the point where the thought of sending them to bed without all of a sudden changed everything. You are so thoughtful, brother John.
Your meal is so funny to me because when I was in with the Doc, Glen went out and bought us pork steak and corn on the cob for tomorrow nights supper.. Ok, maybe not the same but very similar. He also makes about 90% of the meals here.

However, yours sounds so much better so maybe I will have to steer him that way.
Glad to have you back, dear bro, and I hope you start thinking towards another one real soon. It is such a waste of wonderful talent to see it sitting on the shelf.

Thanks for the great post, bro. Loved every bit of your appetizing meal and one of us will try it real soon. Awesome. Love, Debi

    Wow, wow and double wow!!
Thank you so much for those six stars. You made my night.

More importantly, I hope your long doctor?s visit was successful and you?re not "wasting away in Margaritaville!"

I appreciate all the kind words in the review and I plan to post some more this week.

Enjoy your pork and corn tomorrow, I?m sure Glen will make it special for his better half.

    Love ya sis?

LOL, love the "Hello boy's ... I'm ba-ack" reference. Let's see... Tequila and creativity... okay. How many before your muse returned? The menu sounds delicious. Welcome back!

Hi John, yes, you have been missed. I'm glad that you're back and that you are still cooking. Of note:

cooked to an internal temp no less the 145 degrees, ( my preference 160).

(My preference is also 160. Call me an old-fashioned girl. If it's not beef, it's 160 for me.)

Pork Tenderloin is such a great meat to make on the grill. I love your rub seasoning. The corn recipe was also yummy.

Well done. You have succeeded at making me hungry at after 9 p.m. tonight. I just caught my hubby making a ham, salami, and mozzarella sandwich in the kitchen. I think that he was trying to eat it unnoticed while I was busy talking on the phone, but I caught him--lol.

Another fun post. Have a great night. Margaret

Hello? agreed. No room for pinkish pork on my plate.

I?ve been in a rut of late but now I hope to be beyond that.

Yum? ham, salami and mozzarella always sounds tasty!

    How?ve you been?
Thank you for reading and sharing, Margaret.

    Always in appreciation.

Congratulations, John! It's lovely to have you back and now I know there'll be no stopping you! A fun and delicious run through of pork tenderloin and grilled corn salad, washed down with copious supplies of tequila!! Love your stunning alliteration too. I reckon that tequila's working a treat on your muse. I think the 3rd line from the bottom should have a space between 'the' and 'arse' (or maybe not). Also 'queue' at the beginning maybe. You're making me wonder if this is all intentional!
Thanks for sharing, you crazy man:)) Debbie

When you create cooking stories your muse always shows up. You really seem like an artist in the kitchen creating a masterpiece. You words make all of us jealous of your family. You say lelt's make it simple but nothing sound simple. You have to love the process to go to some much trouble. I'm sure you love the result as well. I'm glad your dry spell is over.

Well I am certainly glad your muse came back. Dry spells suck big time. The menu sounds delicious. Anything on a grill is amazing, especially fresh veggies! Thanks for sharing

Yay! You're back! Of course, I always enjoy your "cooking shows" complete with liquor and music. But all of it is mostly over my head as I cook rather pragmatically for speed, not culinary delight. What I really enjoyed about this post was the beginning relating your cooking metaphors to writing! Now, that's something I can relate to.

Suggestion:
I have three pieces of prose started and in my que (queue)
heads out of thearse! (the arse)

Darn it. I had queue correctly at one point, not que. Somehow it changed.

Thank you Helen for all those stars. You made my day! I will take care of those changes.
