This smacks so many of us in the face like a wet mope. Shoulda, woulda, coulda. But once it's too late, we can't go back, the chances are gone. Thanks for sharing.

So sorry for your loss. I'm sure that your lost loved one is looking down and knows how much you did love them. Living with regret is so difficult try and find comfort in knowing they are with you in spirit

This is a lovely three line poem for the contest and I wish you the very best in the contest. It is so true that we never know when that time will come that we will have. It had the last time that we can speak to someone so may we always go out of our way to say pleasant things each time we leave their presence. Patricia.

If only I'd said
how much I really loved you
but now it's too late
Strong comb overall. As these are difficult to do. I wish you all the best going forward with your work.

The Speaker evokes our sympathy as he expresses regret for what he did not--or could not--say when the person he loved was alive. Hopefully he can move on and not be overcome with remorse. Rod

This 5-7-5, Regret, has the proper formatting and takes a moment to send up the apostrophe to whomever to acknowledge the missing sentiment which is now moot.
