I loved this touching dialogue between Georgios and Echo. They have a lot in common, especially in how they lost their family. The removal of the breath of Hades reminded me of the Green Mile, or at least how the movie portrayed the removal of evil in that gifted character.
I somehow thought that Georgios was a centaur since his mother was a centaur but I guess he rides a horse like other men?

Hi Helen, thank you so very much for the six star rating. Lights up our rainy night here in North Texas!
Thank you for your comments on the dialogue and the poison removal. I'll have to check out the movie you mentioned!
Georgios was half Centaur. His mother was one, but his father only that way because of a curse that ended up getting removed. His DNA was still Immortal human so he had a child with mixed features, Georgios, and a Centaur, the little girl. After losing his first wife, the Centaur in the fire, he married Diantha, Theo's mother, much later in life.
He should look more like a hybrid human/horse, but that was the best I could get the AI generator to create.
Thanks again,
Hugs,
Rhonda

Hi Beth and thank you for the review and comments. The poison is part of the effect of anyone he breathes on, especially as intimate as a kiss. I should go back and clarify that in the story, or maybe I'll bring it up in the next chapter. Thanks for pointing it out.
I appreciate your time and attention to the story,
Rhonda

So Georgios has been involved in the rescue of Echo more than once, this sounds like God allowing us to suffer for Christ's sake, He knows we will endure despite the trial, thank you Rhonda I have understood the revelation sine tone we are afraid of the trial's process. Jesus trusted His Father enough to go to the cross. We must do the same. Beautifully written, blessings Roy

Hi Roy,
Thank you for the review, my friend!! You're right on me playing up the sacrifice piece in this book, and about the suffering in the place of others, not just by Christ, but his followers after he left.
I love what you said about trust. That's a good takeaway, and a lovely piece of advice.
Take care,
Rhonda

Wow! I just knew help would come and the supernatural power to help Echo would too. Georgios has proven himself to be a friend and a brother to Echo. A deep magic extraction! Adam too, as he's popping in and out at just the right time. I'm glad to see Echo revived and out of the clutches of Hades for now. I have a feeling he won't give her up easily. The tension builds....
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! How you helped me and wrote this at the same time is stupendous!
Waiting with bated breath for the next chapter, my talented friend.
Love and blessings across the bridge.

Sally, my dear, you are the talented one, and helping you didn't take long. All I did was look for grammar issues. Much easier than revising, which is a headache, especially when one keeps changing things up...which I do.
I so appreciate the 6 stars, my friend. They shine brightly here in Texas!!!!!
And, like I said in the review of your chapter, I'm thankful for the book you're writing!!!
Much love and prayers across the bridge!!

Barbara, thank you so much for your review, my friend!! I really loved the words of praise. It was one of those chapters I spent days writing and rewriting to get it where I wanted and to say what I wanted it to say. I'm so thankful for your feedback on it!!

Carol, thank you so much for the brilliant 6 stars, my friend!! I'm, also, glad you gave it a chance. I know it's hard to go outside one's genre and take on the task of reviewing it.
Hugs,
Rhonda

So wait a minute, Georgios is Echo's brother as they had the same parents killed in the fire? This is another of your superb chapters, Rhonda! And how incredibly vivid that Georgios could inhale all Hades' air of immortality from Echo's lungs. This is so imaginatively and powerfully portrayed, I love it! As ever, it's the attention to detail that makes this story stand out (the black smoke being exhaled) and you treat the reader with respect, never skipping over unexplained issues. I don't know about Echo but I'm pretty exhausted:) but her ever inquisitive mind probes deeper into Georgio's background to discover their connection.
A small (possible edit):
How tired Adam must (no need for 'he') be...
Well done, Rhonda! Debbie xo

Hi Debbie, and thank you so much for the six stars, and for the excellent review!!!
I went back and clarified in the story about Georgios and Echo. Both had family members killed by Hades by fire. Because of this, and because Georgios lost his own sister, he feels connected to Sally because she was able to escape when his own sister did not. Thanks for bringing that up so I could go back in and straighten that out.
It's funny you bringing up the part about the unexplained issues, because that's exactly what takes me so long in revision, and why I'm so late posting, sometimes. I always have a version ready on Sunday, but then I read and reread so I can iron out the things that are assumed but not written out. It drives revision upon revision, but I'm glad it's coming through on your part.
Also coming through is Echo's ever present need to probe deeper, even when exhausted, her inquisitive nature pops up. It may have something to do with raising a 3 year-old right now. Her absolute favorite word is Why? And she'll ask it over and over. That's the part of Echo I'm trying to show is her basic personality, lol.
Thanks again, my friend,
Hugs,
Rhonda
Thank you for finding the edit.

You're doing a great job and that addition revision is really paying off. Well done! You're obsessed with Sally at the moment because she's slipped into your reply instead of Echo:))

Oooops, sorry. I also have a little sister, Sally, in another book series I wrote, so I guess I put the two together. Don't tell, lol.

Another fine chapter, Rhonda....and the removal of the poison given to her by Hades amounts to the French kiss to
end all French kisses, oh sure it was in the guise of poison-removal, but that was just his rational!
