Great rant! I enjoyed reading and appreciated the clever twist. Thing is, although the title and angry image are artfully contrived to lead readers in the wrong direction, I suspected a pillow was the culprit ( well it could have been a mattress but that would be a stretch lol) . It was the "You're too soft" in para 3 that gave the game away for me. It was an accusation that didn't fit if you were ranting at a person. At least in my opinion.
I have firm pillows at home. But traveling can be problematical since pillows in other peoples homes and in hotels are usually much too soft and it would be in inconvenient, to say the least, to lug my pillow with me everywhere. So I was delighted to discover a hotel hack that recommended slipping folded bath towels into the case to firm up soft pillows. I tried it recently and it works a treat! Genius!
Wishing you the very best with the contest committee with your clever entry.
Blessings, Julia

That?s a great idea. And we are away this weekend. I?ll remember that. Thanks so much for a great review. (Over here, soft can also mean spineless, so I changed it a bit. ) So thank you.

Heh heh I love this one, it's amazing how a pillow can cause trouble between the 40 zzzzs and you, I don't have that trouble any more, I have two pillows, and that's sufficient, well done, blessings Roy

This made me smile. It kind of reminds me of that old 2 Guys, 600 Pillows music video. The love/hate with pillows is real! I like the graphic you chose as well. It's funny.

This dribble flash fiction made me laugh. I never would have guessed the narrator was talking to a pillow! Thank you so much for sharing, and best wishes to you.

I was waiting for that element of violence where you cut the tag off. Lol. I can completely understand this. I just kicked my pillow to the curb a week ago. I enjoyed you emotional flash fiction piece. Good action and you allowed my mind to build with anticipation on what was going to happen next. Good luck with thos. Gretchen

I was shocked as I began to read that my kind, gentle, and always positive friend would write something like contest entry. Then at the end I see you're having issues with a pillow. It now makes sense. I enjoyed reading and wish you luck with the contest.

That?s so funny. Yes, shoulder and neck issues mean a different shape and firmer pillow are needed. Many thanks for a super review.

A great image which you complement superbly with your dribble flash! I can really feel her pain in the neck. Love the way you tease us by inferring that this is person being referred to. That pillow has to go, your protagonist's mind is made up! Well done, Wendy, and good luck! Debbie

An excellent entry for the Dribble Flash Fiction contest. This was very well done. You led us to thinking one thing and then you twisted the ending to be a surprise. Nicely done.

I enjoyed your tirade with your pillow. I know just how you feel. I ordered pillows for my guy and me last week. They were declared to be "soft," but that was a misnomer. However, after three nights, I've adjusted!

It?s quite hard to know. One doesn?t know until one has tried them out over some hours, which is not possible. Thanks so much for the lovely review.

Well done. I did not suspect the pillow at all.
My wife and i have fits over hotel pillows. One high-priced chain that we frequent several times a year started fine, offering a soft and a firm option for each sleeper, but after the first couple stays, in every hotel of that chain, the pillows are all too soft. Grrrr
Good luck in the contest.

Thanks Wayne! Pillows need to be somehow adjustable in firmness to suit every individual. A project for Ohmie to invent something. lol. Thanks for reviewing.

Hmmm. An inflatable inner core. But who would put their mouth on the blowup portal?
