Only one more? sniffle sniffle. You are a fairly prolific writer and so when reviewing one for one I rarely have to troll for stories to read. But take a break between stories. Write a children's story or cute animal story to cleanse the palate.I can't wait for the one! Karen

That's what I always do after posting a novel (this is the fourth one I've posted). Essays, short stories, perhaps a poem or two before getting into a new novel.

Thanks for your great support and kind words, Karen. They mean a lot.

That feeling of relief when a loved on returns from a dangerous place - so well told here. It is perhaps the truest test of love. This has been a well-told tale, Jim, and thoroughly enjoyed.

Thanks very much, Tony, for your kind words. Perhaps not the most realistic of stories, but hopefully entertaining. We'll get to see how everything turns out with the epilogue on Friday.

This is an excellent way to tell the family, the whole truth, but manage to get a believable laugh out of it. Your characters really trust and love each other, which always makes for a good story.

Thank you so much, Carol, for your perceptive review and for the 6 stars. Two years before, Alan didn't have any of that, and look where he is today. His life is certainly much richer now for having his family to support him.

Oh, this will be a major disappointment then. You might as well skip reading the epilogue on Friday. The only hospital stay will be by Ginnie because she works there : )

Alan is a smart man when he decided to be truthful to his wife on the events of getting the hard drive back.

It was well written and realistic.

Jeez, only one chapter to go?

Good work, Jim.

Thanks so much, John. Yeah, I think he made the right move by telling all. Besides, now they think he's a macho man.

This is a beautiful chapter. I like happy endings, and you could do that. I do not see any room for improvement. I look for ward to the next chapter. Have a blessed day.

It looks like things are wrapping up, and I'm sure Alan will get a good deal on his inventions in the final chapter.

Alan has his family, love, kids, career, redemption and soon wealth. In the end, everything a man could want.

Good work.

Thanks, Lance. I'm happy you stuck with it and provided me with the good feedback you did. It helped along the way to improve the story. Just the epilogue to wrap everything up and see how people fare during the next several years.
