I was NOT expecting that! For Noah to still be in love with Madeline, and for even Lorrie to feel sorry for her. I wonder if M's remorse and change of attitude and demeanour will remain, and she will really change, or in the end will earthly treasures prevail? A strange but fine mix of ghostly characters, and I have no idea how Sandra will resolve all the questions and issues ... Excellent writing.

Good work, Wendy! When I began writing the chapter, I wasn't expecting Madeline to be redeemed and Lorrie to feel sorry for her. Maybe the ghosts twisted my arm! I agree though that Madeline will face a challenge when the treasure is found. And Sandra... she has no idea what she is getting herself into. Have a great day!

My goodness, you have indeed created a houseful of ghosts. For not being a ghost story writer, you are doing an excellent job of writing this story. I still think it is your best story yet.

Good morning, April. I hope you are finally feeling better and the sun is shining on you. Thanks again for enjoying this ghost story and for your awesome comments. For a story I was terrified to write, many are simply loving it. I never know where it will take me next.... I'm being haunted but so far I'm in control....I think! LOL

You're putting a whole new slant on the nature of ghosts. There is no telling what you ghost are capable of doing. I would having one around to clean my house and make meals for me. You even have a ghost writer in the mix.

Can't explain how I went from hating to even write another chapter in a ghost story to popping in everywhere I go. I guess the spirit got a hold of me. LOL and as far as Madeline goes in this one, I don't know where that came from thismorning, but I simply redeemed her (at least for now). Will the treasure lure her to grab it and run?

I enjoyed reading. This is well written, and I couldn't find any way to improv it. I am struggling this new nice Madeline. I'm not sure I am buying it. I'm going to have to read more and see if I buy into it.

Thanks Barbara. Let's be honest...when I started writing this morning I had no idea I was going to find redemption for Madeline and I knew most everyone else would want to see her reach a terrible ending.... but I wrote what I felt at the time. Now, will Madeline grab the second chance at redemption or will she use it to find the treasure and run? I don't know...Do you?

I was so pleased to see you'd resumed the story, I just love it. Now, we have a very sorry Madeline, and Noah, who still loves her. I'm sure this will be Lorrie's redemption, being nice and helping the widow. Let's hope Madeline takes some good advice, or she will be living in the haunted house and one of the ghosts herself!! Well done, my friend, this was a great chapter. :) Love and hugs Sandra xxx

Thanks, Sandra... I had no idea where the story was going as I sat down to write this morning. I was surprised when I found myself leaning toward redemption for Madeline, though many probably preferred to see her tortured. I hope she grabs her second chance and helps Sandra solve the problems...not use it to grab the treasure and run. LOL I have no idea..... Smiles and hugs and love as always, Carol
