The title made me wonder if this poem would be about non-duality. I enjoyed the sense of peace as I read it several times. It gives the sense of a rested mind in the opening line. The second line brings the feel of a letting go. The final line shows the benefit of taking time out.

I think people who can be 'unstressed' are very useful people, too much emotion can truly render us useless, my elder daughter has always had a place she can go if life gets too stressy, both my wife and daughters are amazing people. But very useful in emergencies. Beautifully written Yvette, good luck, blessings Roy

Oh, I do like being useful!! Seriously, though, it does feed a part of who we are to lose ourselves in 'nothing' once in a while... my escape is working in my yard - a whole lot of physical and not much mental there.. :) ;) Thanx so much for being out there and taking the time to review, Roy -- always so appreciated! Gonna be a crazy weekend over here, but I promise to try to respond as much as possible... will have more time when school's out next month and I only have one job to deal with! :) :) I just didn't want you to think I'd forgotten to respond... Take good care of you! :-)

Hi Y M,
This short poem is deep. It can be about faith or just the joy you feel when you see the beauty of nature.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Good luck in the contest.
Have a wonderful weekend

I think I know what you mean. To take a step back and distant yourself from the problems can be surprisingly restorative. I really liked your poem. Ulla:)))

I was a little surprised by your choice of words although I liked the alliteration. Rather than sympathy I had expected a negative word like worry. I do like it when I am surprised it makes me think, ponder the choice and work out the meaning. Good writing should do this.

Don't have 'space' for negativity, Mark -- usually thoughtful and pensive is as far as I'll let myself go.... Glad to surprise you! :) Thanx so much for being out there and taking the time to review -- always so appreciated! Oh yes, when we can achieve that sense of peace and even bliss, when we succeed in laying down our burdens! You did a fine job of illustrating this with your carefully chosen words. Good luck in the contest.

I enjoyed your poem. Sometimes, it is good for us .to just relax and not think about anything. I liked the words you used. The picture goes well with the words. Very good job

A very calming and meditative verse complemented by a dreamy image! This is a delight to read and immerse oneself in your 'peaceful wondering.' Thank you for sharing. Good luck! Debbie

I love your virtual porch. I wrote a verse once about a virtual bench so I'll bring it with me:))

This sounds like a lovely lay back while enjoying meditating and letting the world go on around you. I find 20 minutes of that is equal to a nap. A beautifully descriptive 5-7-5 poem that leaves me feeling the 'unencumbered bliss' you describe.
Lovely presentaion and good luck in the contest.
cheers,
valda

I think I know what you mean. It's easy to get wrapped up in the lives and crises of friends and family, to the detriment of one's own equilibrium. Tuning out for a while for a little 'me time' can be an effective restorative.
