Hello Wendy,
you have the patience of Job, I swear. Those children are going to grow up with the fondest memories of their childhood and of the grandmother who was so much fun to be around. They will know the unconditional love that you have for them, and will no doubt be better adults because of the love that you have invested in them. Well done gal. Thanks for sharing this.
Blessings,
Tom

Thank you Tom. My prayer is that they will have some happy memories of our fun times together, and that they will never grow too old for my love. Lovely review.

And every fragment of chalk dust was worth is. I know it was. The last time my little granddaughters came to visit, my back porch and chalk artwork on it. Even my son joined in on the fun. I miss them not being close. I am so happy yours are. Thank you for sharing.

I get it. My grandkids are here every weekend. I try to plan activities but by the time they are gone Sunday evening, I'm exhausted. Sundays used to be my day to rest from the week at work. You sound like you have the patience of a saint. I'm a grumpy Gigi. I always warn them that my imaginary fuse is burning quicker than a paper match. They don't care. Lol. Still we do have good times. Enjoyed this. Gretchen

Thank you Gretchen! You must be exhausted as you work all week, and then have the grandchildren at the weekend!
That is a huge workload! I usually only see mine once a week except for school holidays. Thanks for a lovely review.

You are somewhat of a superhero to me, Wendy. Your energy, patience, creativity, and unbounded love for your "grands" is an inspiration. I think I'd need a cruise to a tropical island to recuperate~

The wonderful thing is all the "forever" memories you are making together. Regardless of the extra work, hearing:

"I really like coming to your place, Nanny!"

Is PRICELESS!

Ah, today I have no energy. We had a huge storm during the night, from 10:30 to 12:30. Sunny was terrified. I ended up brining him into my bed and cuddling him until he stopped shaking with terror. We both fell asleep. I don?t approve of dogs on or in beds, but I was too tired to care. It was actually rather beautiful. But I don?t want to set a precedent. Today we have Miss Eight, but it?s been a quiet relaxed day. We planted our bulbs ready for spring. About to go shopping with her. Thank you for a delightful review. Believe me I?m no superhero. I just don?t write about the times I?m tired or grumpy! Lol.

When I think about what I just said, I only post two or three times a week, so that leaves an awful lot of ?grumpy time?!

Wow, you're TOUGH on yourself! How about the quiet happy time when you do other things? I can't believe YOU are ever truly grumpy!

(Not in the way I am! LOL)

lol. No, you are right. I?m not often grumpy - but perhaps I should ask my husband before I say that.

With my son it was a short, quiet time, with emphasis on the word short. The writing sparks memories of my son's and my own childhood. The love you put towards your writing must be mirrored in the love you give all who's paths you cross. Disregard the "Stop here" written at you step and continue writing these good natured adventures. "I'm a likin'em" is what m son would have written. True, there were parts that slowed me down a little, but nothing serious. It felt good to read and that is what counts to me

You are a wonderful grandmother to put up with the things that these children so creatively dead. I understand you're being very tired and I am glad you got a five minute rest before you had to go out again. Have a good day and may God bless. Patricia .

Do you have four Grandchildren Wendy? How lucky you are. Are these their ages? (three, five, eight and nine). Although they keep you very busy by getting into a bit of mischief, kids just love getting their hands dirty! Poor Sunny had to have his paws washed too! A fun activity time and no wonder you are exhausted, love Dolly x x x

Thanks for such a lovely review. I actually have seven! My daughter has three (two boys aged16 and 14, and a girl aged 9). My son has these three girls, (8, 5 and 3), and my older daughter who lives eight hours away has a little boy two years old. The nine year old and her eight year old cousin are very close, like sisters, which is lovely.
    Thanks again!

Absolutely wonderful, Wendy. To be able to enjoy your grandchildren and be happy that they are happy without worrying too much about the mess is the sign of a GREAT GRANDMOTHER for sure. Things can always be cleaned but the time with the girls will slip away much too fast. Awesome!
Smiles and hugs, Carol

That?s what I figure. And my husband, bless him, vacuumed the whole house while I was out at the hospital with Sunny yesterday.
I am so aware of how short this special time is. I so much want them to have happy memories later on. Thank you for a wonderful review. Much appreciated, as always.

Was this deserving of a sixth star? You betcha, as Sarah Palin would say, the once-upon Governor of Alaska. This could be, and should be, made into a short film. Well-versed and picturesque.

Lol. A film?! I am so glad you enjoyed the humour here. Well Miss Eight has spent today here, and we?ve planted bulbs in all the pots she cleaned. She?s fast asleep now, bless her. Thank you so much for a super review, and for that precious extra star! Much appreciated and valued.

Thank goodness, you haven't got a hosepipe ban! No, thinking about it after all that rain, you're probably good for a while. Well, my head is spinning with all that activity. An hilarious write, Wendy! I could just imagine you at the door, pointlessly trying to keep the dust at bay on the doormat. We've an expression you may well know when we 're fighting a losing battle (that's one): Sweeping up in a snowstorm! We all do it with children. They just don't understand the mess and chaos they create. One small edit: 3rd para from the bottom - hose (d)own the veranda.
Great write! Take care Debbie

We had a tremendous storm last night so it would have washed off anyway. Miss Eight was back today, so we planted about ten of those pots she collected with bulbs ready for spring. Thanks for picking up the typo, I?ve fixed it now.
"Sweeping up in a snowstorm" - that?s a great expression. We don?t use it where I live, as we never have snow! But that?s perfect for what I was doing, sweeping the mat! Lol!
Thank you so much for a super review.
