Funny how cars can play a major role in certain relationships. When my wife and I started dating, I did not have a car nor much money to buy one. Her father who was at that time a master mechanic with the Ford Motor Company offered to sell me one of his personal project cars. (A car that he restored in his spare time). I bought the car for $75.00 and we drove that car until we moved away to California. I believe that car helped our relationship mature and survive.

Thanks Nomi. Love your story too! He had the fastest car in the 7 county are and I was only 17 and shallow enough to fall for the car, but it wasn't long before I knew he was the one.
I have been working on your poem and trying to figure it out w/o asking, but as long as you are here I want to make sure I have it right. I'm not worried if they were yours or not, but you count yourself dad to three kids, two grandkids and three great grandkids, right? Thanks so much my dear BBBB!

You have it correct. The kids by age and name are the oldest Yvette, 2nd oldest Kevin, and the baby, Jennifer. The grandkids by age and name, the oldest Josuella (Josie), and Jabaree. The great grand kids, Wille Jr., Elijahh, (Not a misspelling) and Aaliyah.

Since these always have to be kept to about five stanzas I usually don't have room for names, especially when there is so much good stuff about the birthday boy to get in like there is on you. But how many of each like normal will be in there and a little something about your sweet daughter you lost. And of course your wife. But when you see it, please make sure you let me know if there is anything you want to change, ok. I never mind. I would feel worse if you weren't happy and believe me I will know because I just know you that well. So happy birthday early and I will see you in the morning, dear brother. With much love, Debi

The love is returned full measure. Just so you know I wrote a tribute poem to my late daughter, it is titled Daughter of my heart. Unfortunately it is no longer promoted.
