Madeline knowing the contents of the book is not good, although I thought she might have known who he was from before his death.
Lorrie is in the know with the men who were discussing Sandra downstairs the previous evening, but the apparent deaths of Noah and the Judge ... well, okay, I must wait and see what this is all about. You keep the reader hanging .... Well written.

I hope the upcoming chapter makes things clearer...I am not sure about how to write this ghost stuff but I am giving it a shot. Thanks for stopping by and reading.

I just want to let you know that I am not following along with your story, because of the fact that my vision is getting so much worse and it's a little harder for me to try to listen to it and respond to it the way I should. But I wish you the very best with your story that you're writing now. Have a happy Easter. Patricia .

Yes, you sure do know how to build suspense in your writing, which tells me there is a little Alfred Hitchcock in you. LOL. Thanks for sharing another fine chapter.

Alfred Hitchcock, you say! I never thought of myself as being able to scare people (except myself occasionally in the mirror). LOL I'm always thrilled to hear from you and hope your weekend is going well.

What most people don't realize is that Alfred Hitchcock didn't write in a horror genre sort of way. He played deeply on suspense and the viewer's anticipation of what was to come. As you can tell, I've always been a huge fan. Nowadays everyone plays on blood and gore, not what I suspect anyone really wants to see. :-)

Now I feel special! Thanks!

If the ghosts and others were concerned about Sandra finding the book, I sure they will be more concerned if the learn that Madeline has seen it. I'm surprised she didn't know who the judge was. He must have been someone her late dealt with.

I hope I can clear all this up with the next chapter.... it will lay out a lot of information when they explain things to Sandra. As for Madeline...the book could be quite damaging in the wrong hands.
HAPPY EASTER!

A flawless read, full of intrigue with excellent dialogue and characterisation. Madeline's certainly not the most popular and we have to wonder what she intends to do with this book and the information inside it. I can't even begin to imagine how you've been able to keep this story-telling going and I'm just so sorry my reviewing has been more than a bit hit and miss. But I know you've maintained a very impressive quality throughout the month and I applaud you for that. Well done! Debbie

I don't recall reading about Sandra screaming as she listened to the men talking. The word "scream" was only used to refer to the men screaming at each other during their conversation.
I don't know how you're finding time to write while entertaining your granddaughters, but I'm enjoying your efforts. You know how to make your reader's heart stop. Now, Madeline knows about the book. When she steals it, I wonder what she plans to do with it. The mystery continues.

It's one word and not very clear and I apologize...it says screamed and stammered.....My girls are late risers so I have the mornings to do as I wish. It was raining so writing was perfect. It's beautiful and sunny today so writing might not happen, but I wanted to answer reviews and wish you a HAPPY EASTER!
