I'm betting Lorrie and James just might be ghosts too. Hmm, I do like this story and you're doing a good job telling it.

Annie giggled, "I know that gleam in your eye, Sandra. There's a story brewing inside that head of yours. What happened?" (giggled)

Sandra's Cheshire cat smile said it all. "He was murdered in his office (all,)

As she sat down on the couch, James entered the room (you can omit 'down')

Hello, Barbara. Trying to get caught up now that I have a few hours to myself...but I am not complaining. The girls were so happy to see me and I to see them. I've fixed the punctuation, thank you. Take care.

The screw tightens as they always do in your stories, and I certainly hope that you've decided to keep posting it, and not keep your faithful fans waiting too long. LOL. Thanks for sharing. Have a great time at the beach!

Hello there! Here I am in N.C. and it's 33 degrees and rating. Ugh! It was in the high 70s and 80's last week. Guess they heard I was coming. LOL As for the story, I am struggling. I've never had so many opinions in my life of writing. Some even want to change the style. I shall continue to plug through it and hope for the best. Thanks for sticking with me.

As the saying goes: ?Opinions are like buttholes, everyone has one.? We all want to think we are unique, and could be more so, if people were willing to accept differences in thought. I say, you be you, and let those people be themselves. You?ll win out most of the time. Have fun!

You are the best! Put it out there as it is!
    Thank you, my friend. Smiles!

Some like it out there and honest. Others would rather we lie and sugar coat. So, needless to say, I make a few friends easily, and I piss more than a few off. Hope it warms up for you! I'm talking about the weather. :-)

Too old for any beach buddies so I guess it better be the weather. LOL

We are never too old for anything. As long as we're still here, we need to be seeking out the options. We just need to be quick, before they get away. :-)

This is great. The tension in the air is palpable as Sandra confronts James. I like how she demands answers about the events unfolding around her. As they sit down for tea there is such tension in the air! I thought this was so well written. You have setup future chapters so well.

Good chapter, good pacing. Clearly a huge mystery is awaiting us. Lorrie will be a good asset for an investigative reporter with those loose lips!

Annie sunk her teeth (sank....you use sunk with had, had sunk)

Thanks for the help as always and for continuing to read the story. I'm not sure how this one is going with such mixed reviews regarding my writing style, but I'm battling uphill. Smiles as always, Carol

I enjoyed the story. I'm not convinced that Lorrie and James are even alive but they seem to be at this point. I can't imagine why the Judge would have kept a book about his illegal activities or why Lorrie and James would have known about it if he did.

Poor Sandra, getting herself in deeper, but not knowing if she can trust James, or even Lorrie,, and she doesn't know whether the others are even alive or supernatural beings! Enough to do her mind in! Well written. I can feel my anxiety levels rising already! Keep up the good work.
Wendy.

Thank you, Wendy... I'm terrified when I post now since the reviews go from telling me to change my style of writing to actually enjoying the story. Raising your anxiety (and not mine lol) was exactly what I was going for. Thank you...
