Great descriptions of what the canyon river currents pass by as they rush on past the old Ash trees, the boulders and last season's leaves. Beautifully written Nonet, and good luck in the contest. Cheers

I loved the imagery you included in this piece and it really made your words come to life. I also really liked how you constructed it as well and it thought your writing flowed really well. An excellent piece.

I enjoyed the sentiments here in this clever nonet Crystie, I wish you luck with the contest. It is a pity the first line isn't a little longer, but this would mean changing the words, love Dolly x x x

Loved your beautiful nature nonet. I had to wait to get back on the computer to see the nonet form which was botched up on my phone screen. Loved your use of alliteration (lined with lichen), assonance, and internal rhyming (past last) and even your reasoning for the British spelling of "grey"! Best wishes in the contest!

Thank you for your great review. And especially for being detailed.

Beautiful artwork choice. Great use of adjectives--wild March, cold hope. They definitely add to the atmosphere. Your syllable count is right-on for each line. You create a mood and give a wonderful description of the river as the currents run their route. To me, the second line was a bit of a mouthful. You get in a lot of detail, but the flow's a bit difficult. Best of luck in the contest. You might take a look at that line. judi

Hi Chrystie, I loved this beautiful nonet with all its lovely imagery. I especially liked: 'past last fall's tired leaves, toward wild March, facing spring with cold hope.'
All the best of luck. Ulla xcx

This was lovely. Each line was plump with imagery and evocative descriptions. I enjoyed this! I liked the ending: "facing spring with cold hope". Great work with this!

The picture you painted with words is a good one and the photo that accompanies this submitted work works fine. If it was mine though, I would reorganize line two to read, with no ill intent intended, past tall white ash tree trunks moss borne.

Eh, maybe not improved. It shows how my brain works. If i was given a recipe for dinner, I naturally would make it my own by changing something. That's how I came up with Applesauce Meatloaf.
-
Wow, that sounds like an interesting recipe.

I've won my wife's favor serving it in college. I lived off campus, and she was a dorm gal.

This is an excellent Nonet Crystie, with a developing narrative describing a walk and the scenes alongside a river bank, probably in an attractive park/.walk track, well done, blessings Roy
