I love the quote from Hemingway; it's so apropos.
This is imaginative, and I love it, from photo to words.
May I ask where you found the artwork? I'd love to use it as a screen saver.
Beautiful work! Best, JohnC

I am learning on FanStory the importance of how a poem is displayed for viewers and yours is done beautifully with the red we all associate with passion and the splatters looking like blood drops. These very short poems are my favourite and I think it is understated how difficult it can be to write one. Well done :)

Writing has become a passion. I think we honestly can say, writers on this website, love to write and let the words flow on paper. Like, the saying goes, write from the heart. Express how you feel.

I like the way that the blood is equated with passion as the lover invests his/her heart into those unspoken words. You can't help but wonder from the image what those words will be. Well done and good luck! Debbie

I think this is beautifully expressed and very thought provoking. It could have so many meanings in terms of what the writer might be thinking and feeling. Really nicely done. I would give it 6 stars if I had any left (not sure why I don't as I've only used 1)
Well done and best wishes

Wow!! I loved this and thought it outstanding. I think you "nailed" it. Hope you won the contest. The Hemingway quote was perfect--so was the image that you used. Great job. Thanks for sharing.

Yes indeed! To write is akin to breathing for some, and to be worthy, it should always come from the heart, IMO. Your wee poem expresses the pain that sometimes accompanies it wonderfully.
Good luck in the contest.
