This was an interesting interview, an insight into the personality and persona of this contributor to the site. I have read some of her pieces and they are arresting at times. I think you conducted the interview with plenty of personality of your own, with an eye to the people in her life that are the support for her. Something of the creative process comes through as well. estory

Both of you need to share in the stars-You for your wonderful reporting and Miss Debbie for her wonderful example! I doubt there is one of us here that doesn't look truly forward to those biographical works, and I've yet to be disappointed by anything Miss Debbie has written or her encouraging comments.

I've seen Debbie's name a few times on Fan Story, but I haven't been a follower of her yet. I see that I may have to change that after this well done interview. I found it very informative and easy to read. You're right about this site taking over one's time. I spend many more hours here than I suppose I should, but it's like walking in to the library, there's so much to read that you just have to spend some time. Thanks for sharing this gal. Congratulations on the All Time Best award.

I've seen Debbie's name a few times on Fan Story, but I haven't been a follower of her yet. I see that I may have to change that after this well done interview. I found it very informative and easy to read. You're right about this site taking over one's time. I spend many more hours here than I suppose I should, but it's like walking in to the library, there's so much to read that you just have to spend some time. Thanks for sharing this gal. Congratulations on the All Time Best award.

This was a marvelous interview with Debbie, Shelley (excuse me, I mean Rachelle :) .) I really enjoy your probing interviews. I, too, have delighted in both Debbie's works and reviews. She always writes perceptive and very complimentary reviews.
I can so identify with this remark: "before I joined FanStory, I became increasingly desperate to write anything, even a business or complaints letter. I couldn't ever stop now." That was my situation exactly. I had done a lot of writing at my job, but since retiring, there wasn't the need to write much anymore, and I missed it. FanStory changed that for me too.
I can also identify with how addicting FanStory can be and find myself spending a lot more time here than with any other hobby I ever had, including golf. It really is enjoyable to share with other like-minded individuals like Debbie and yourself. - Jim

(years after I left) I attended school there from 1958 -1964. My parents moved from there as well. How weird is that? This was such a good interview, and we've all learned a lot more about Debbie.
