You certainly understand the nature of fear. Then there are the fools who rush in and don't discover fear until after they did their thing. You have given fear quite an interesting personification. Darkness is certainly one of his greatest allies. This is good writing, and I didn't find any proof-reading errors.

Carol,
Thanks for your review. Glad you liked the story as it is a little bit out of left field. Lets see where it goes as far as the competition goes. Take care and have a wonderful day.

This was a little different, Barry. You have kept the reader on the edge of his seat until the end. A very good ending. The personification of "Fear" was a good idea.

Nice drama and suspense. Personifying Fear is a novel concept. Good work.
Tonight though I will watch, waiting, - 'Though' needs separated with commas.
I am not defined by one type of appearance,I can only be described by you. - With a complete sentence on each side, a semicolon would work better.
Others have had and will have their chance later. - You need a comma after 'had'.
There are several other opportunities to tidy up comma usage. Also, there are a few instances of lost spacing after periods.
Good luck in the contest.

I enjoyed your personification of fear and the horrible effects he can bring down upon people when given the opportunity. This is a creative and imaginative interpretation of the prompt and a reminder for us to confront fear when it arises. Thanks for the share and good luck in the contest!

The writing is engaging, the pacing is well-executed, and the characters are developed with depth. "Confronting Fear" is a tale that lingers in the mind, inviting readers to reflect on their own fears and the potential for triumph in the face of adversity.
Well done.
