I think we can all relate to this! It's an interesting choice to compare the writing process to plumbing (and the end product) - I think it's an analogy that works for us all at various times, sadly. I enjoyed the humour of this piece. Thanks for the share and good luck in the contest!

No I love it. Excellent wit. You follow the metaphor to its bitter end, literally! And it works. Unblock the muse and sometimes you have to spew out a load of ... nonsense. But then you sift through it and find a few good bits. Okay, you're right, it's gross. Good luck!
