Hello Ric,
somehow, I've not been able to follow your stories. I may have read one or two of the other chapters, but this one caught me off guard. I don't know if I have the time to go back and read all of them or not. If I get the chance, who knows, it's a long winter. I don't know what happens, I'm following someone then I don't hear anything from them for awhile, then they show up with a number of articles I've never seen before. Anyway, this was exciting. I hope I get to read the next chapter. Well done.
Have a blessed evening.

Thanks so much, Tom, for taking time out to read a late chapter without knowing how the story got to where it is. I appreciate your generous review and kind words.

Are you sure you can wrap it up all in one more chapter?? It looked unbelievable to get out of the scrape they were in here in this chapter. Great details from the lingo to the backdraft! Whew! You really do know how to write action fiction!!

Thank you so much, Helen, for always being so encouraging, never leaving me without a smile, and keeping me happily anxious for the next time I read you, or you review me. The stars are great, but your kindness trumps everything. I appreciate YOU!

💕 Always happy to hear from you, too!

I'm ashamed to say, this is my first read of your Tucker story but what an introduction! You're an inspired story-teller with a real art at immediately engaging your reader! The evocative descriptive detail about the fire made me want to hold my breath. And the pace and urgency was captured beautifully, albeit making me wonder if an escape was even possible. What have I been missing? This is gangster crime conveyed at its very best! Thanks for sharing, Ric! Debbie

Thank you so much, Debbie, for your generous review and kind words. It?s hard to truly enjoy a story without watching the characters develop. But it makes me appreciate all the more that you took time to read a late chapter. Thanks again for reading.

Hi, Ric. This is the first I've read of Tucker, so I have a lot of catching up to do. This chapter is rich with detail that made me feel like I was there, and it makes me want to go back and read all the others. I do think it could benefit from more dialogue in the beginning to allow a breather amidst all the physical descriptions, but it's still very nicely done. You have a gift, my friend. Thank you for sharing, and I hope you have a great week. :)

Thanks so much, Irene, for your generous review and kind words. It?s hard to make sense or enjoy a late stage part of a story where you haven?t watched the characters develop. So that makes me appreciate you taking time to read it all the more. Thanks again.

Dang, Ric, this was a hot one, alright! I did wonder how you know so much about Churro Heads...oh, never mind, you just never know who's monitoring these stories. I do look forward to the final chapter, even as I wonder if it's really going to be the final chapter. Well done. Terry.

Thank you so much, Terry, for taking time out to keep following Tucker. Yes, it will be the end. Time to move on and do something different or at least with new characters. Much appreciated!

I'm saving a six for the ending chapter. This is jam-packed with chaotic suspense. I was on the edge of my chair.
You have a way of pulling your readers from point A to point B regardless of whether they want to go into your frightening scenarios. I loved it, Ric! Best, JohnC

Wow! You immerse the reader in this fire so thoroughly we can smell the fumes and feel the heat. Brilliant, dramatic action, superbly described. Amazing writing. Well done. Virtual 6.

Thank you so much, Jen, for your kind words and stars. I'm never content until I've read your reviews and find out what you think. It's nice when a silly old boy who writes mostly foolishness can draw a reader into the action. I appreciate YOU!

Holy smokes that was action packed! Tucker and Daniel sure go through it eh?. All the poor dead and injured people holy smokes what a production! I must say you kept me completely engaged from beginning to end. What a fine story you've got here. I'm waiting for more. I see no issues with grammar. It's perfect that way. And I think there's only one thing we can do with this. I hope you have a great night!

Thank you so much, Lea, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. I'm sure it's hard to understand the characters and what's going on after not being here for the first eight chapters, but I sure do thank you taking time out to read my foolishness and make me smile. Much appreciated!

So much action going on!!! You covered sound, smell, hearing, and taste? Nothing flat, it's all 3 dimensional. Out of all the colorful phrases this is my favorite: "Rats squealed, a tone-def rodent-choir ensemble, led by an offkey chorister, running in all directions..." What a great description, I wish I'd thought of it :)). The letter at the end is sooo clever and sets you up for the next chapter.
Linda
I want to see how you deal with their burns. Wait, I just saw that this is the next to last chapter? Ohhh, withdrawal already.

Thank you so much, Linda, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. I'm going to miss these characters since I've grown to like something about them all, including the bad guys. But I figured 10 chapters, which should have been a book, was more than most readers could stand. Thanks for sticking with me so long. I appreciate YOU!
