I will need to go back to find out who all of the people you have mentioned are and how they might relate to you and the story line. This is a very linear presentation of events in your life and is full of a lot of interesting information. It is also, one might say, a slice of life in a person's life. Loren

Thank you Loren, Most of the stories for this book have already been posted and reviewed. This one is one of the later chapters. You don't need to go back to the beginning, You'll figure it out. It is mostly about My husband and I and four kids.

I must admit that my time keeping over the years hasn't exactly been perfect, but I've never missed a flight, and we've travelled a lot, heh heh, after paying for it as well. I'm glad you've "encountered" us funny folk after all, we are a little different from Americans, a little more "laid back" beautifully wrutten Beth, blessings Roy

Glen claimed he was doing a walk about while he was in America. Later his younger sister came an did a walk about. Thanks for the review and comments.

Although that?s an aboriginal thing, I just call it a motoring trip, a walkabout is really just that, walking.

My crossword puzzle defined as a trip to discover yourself. They say it originated with the aborigines but now it has been adopted by the rest of thw world.

I must have missed that one. I hope they find themselves?I?ve always taken me with me.

A fascinating chapter, Beth with more activities and stress that, on the surface, you seem to manage with aplomb. Though it beats me how you do it. The second opinion with your mother was very interesting, not least because it's been very topical here in the UK with people asking for it to be commonplace when it comes to serious conditions. Not too much to ask I think! As your mother has proved. Small edit : para starting: After that Don...last line - go to (the) fair as well: para starting - Once 1995 rolled around - could you check out that sentence perhaps? But everything is happening here and it's always an excellent read! Well done! Debbie

Thank you so much Debbie, Yes, I think mother's doctor was wrong in his conclusion. In the first place, Mom didn't have any symtoms. The doctor thought he felt something in her neck and sent of a biopsy which was sent to three difference labs and took a month before the diagnosis of cancer came back. Dad never believe there was any cancer there. He may have been right.

I can't wait to read about Christie's adventures 'down under'. Thank you for sharing.
I was a person who wanted to be everywhere I went a little early. (I understand. That's me. If I'm not early in my head I'm late. LOL)

Thank you Barbara. I think I got the need to be early from my dad. My mom tended to keep finding other things she needed to do before leaving and it drove my dad a little crazy.

This is a beautifully written story, and I have tried listening to it very much. Wish you the very best with all of your records. I found one little thing that might help us a bit. You might see in the title. Visitors and a missed flight. Patricia

Another lovely episode in your life story and the story of your family. This is full of the usual ups and downs, a rollercoaster life. Maybe that should be the title? Thanks for sharing.

Did your family ever get a month off with nothing happening? It's always enjoyable to see what will happen next. As this is your personal history, I wouldn't change anything, but, as The King of Typos, there were two small corrections needed: Last sentence, first paragraph: needs a "was" befor4e "with". Also, first line, sixth paragraph, "counsellors" spelled wrong. Next paragraph, too many commas. Far less than I would make in an otherwise perfect story.

Thank you Jim. No we never has a month with nothing happening but then neither does anyone else. Thank you for finding the thing that needed work in my story.

I only mentioned the spelling because I have a problem with my left hand and am always reminded of errors, even when I thought I fixed them all.

Yes, the Austrian slang is the same as England. They use the word bloody where we use something else. No doubt they were entertaining as I had a Friend who could speak just like them. I too have a grandson who is a nurse and studying for his RN. Good one, Beth. I enjoy your posts concerning family.

Yes, being around an Australian person points out the differences in our cultures but the many Australians on this site seem just like us sense we don't here them speak. There is a bit of difference between the English and the Australian way of speaking.
