This is a sad story. The black and white photo places it during WWII. I don't understand why he ran into the open, but then if I was a warrior I would be retreating or moving laterally so I could live to fight another day. Those are the words of a female, I must admit.

Your time line is spot on. The Panzer was the German tank of WW2. Appreciate the comments and the review.

This is a very well written/fiction for the contest. I wish you the very best in the contest. May you have a blessed day. Just so you know, I am in the rehab. I broke a couple bones, one in my hip and one in my pelvis and I will be in rehab for several days. I can still review but that's about all I can do. I'm sad story so keep me in your prayers.
