Congratulations dear Debi. He took your hand and you danced for life. Not so today, it's partner, not wife. They have turned their backs on Gods laws, there is no marriage. May the Lord bless and keep you both, make His Son shine upon you and grant you love and peace. K xx

What a delightful poem. And congratulations on fifty years, we celebrate fifty years this year, but we had a ten year break mid-stream and then remarried. I love your writing it is always uplifting, and it usually brings a smile. Keep it up.

Hi Bob, I love your reviews as you always are so sweet. So does that count then? I am not sure, like who is going to argue with you. I just think it is great that you are back together. Thanks too for the awesome six stars my friend too. And when it is your anniversary or birthday maybe I will write you a combo poem since they are both in August?? Tomorrow is ours and I will be coming back Sunday with the poem I wrote for him. And also to thank all of you for the kind wishes. It does feel amazing ... Thanks again, my awesome friend. Love, Debi

You'll have to wait six months for our, November 15, 1974. Best day of my life. Near bankrupted me, but it was worth it. Now I need your Anniversary date.

We are 50 years today!

Congratulations. Doesn't give me much time to write my celebratory telegram. How do I send my sympathies to your poor husband? Just joking. What does he do, other than listening anf obeying?

We own a big cropland farm in MN. He is constantly fixing and doing stuff here to keep busy. Retired for ten years from job of construction.

What do you grow. I went to an agricultural school, and I developed great respect for farmers.

First off, Happy 50th Anniversary! I've just been reading some tribute poems to you and your husband. What a wonderful milestone. I love your poem. It is very nice and reassuring to have all our freedoms. While some of them are currently under attack, the basic freedoms are still ours and we are lucky and beholden to all those who fight to keep it that way. Very good work, my friend!

That was a six but I am out. Freedom is something we take for granted in this country. Only Christ makes us free indeed. Your writing is a blessing to my soul and all who read. Esther

You are absolutely 100% correct..Freedom is a word within itself. Whether we agree are disagree with why our boys are fighting you support them. You respect the fact that they are sacrificing their lives so that we can have all we have. And that's the bottom line. Great job..good luck and God bless

Hello, and thank you so very much for all your kind comments. I see we see eye to eye on things and need to respect God's law more. That has become a joke. It is sad, so thanks again. Love, Debi

Hi Debi, a timely poem for the Fourth of July--Independence Day.
Your poem reads and flows well, and your message is clear. Of special note:
The times we had to go to war
We live what they were fighting for
(Truer words were never spoken, but sadly, many of the younger generation and other new comers to our Nation do not understand what America truly stands for, and all the Good that our Nation has done. It's very sad to listen to the News and only hear words of hate and dislike towards our Nation...and all the mistakes that were made by our Forefathers.)
Well chosen photo. Good rhyming. Well done. As this is a contest entry, I wish you good luck. Xo. M

Thank you Barb for the very kind review and comments. Much appreciated my dear friend. And I am too. I had asked Tom if there was a way to find posts after contests and he said just to look for them. So I was hoping that he would put them on our pm's when the contest is done. But I guess that would be too hard to do.

Yes we are so blessed, I have friends who have lived all over the world and they always said there is no place like the US. I get most disgusted with colleges who teach kids to hate this country, but most find out how wrong their teachers were. Really well done. Thanks for sharing. Happy 4th of July.

Thank you my dear Roxanna, for the awesome review and kind comments. You are exactly right, and there are so many places that we could live that would show them a different way of life that would make them thank their lucky stars for their freedom. So thank you for that and also for the six stars. You are so sweet and kind and now that my eye surgeries are done, I will get over to review you soon too. Do you mind me asking when your birthday is? I love doing poems for my special reviewers and friends. If you'd like I can do one for you.
