I'm glad to read more of this story. I found the first chapter intriguing and kept watching for the next one. This chapter did not disappoint me at all. It is nicely executed with no errors. I look forward to chapter three.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. I'm so glad you are planning to follow the story. It sure helps me to stay focused, lol. The support is great, too.
Take care,

So glad you are doing this book! I remember the children's books I read as a kid always showed kids surviving on their own and you have that theme here. The patch reminds me of the boys' and girls' scouts. Lol.

Hi!! Thanks for joining me on this book. That's funny about the patches, but it does sound a bit like the Scouts!!
In a lot of my books I have survival pieces. I'm not sure why, maybe because my father was into it and he's the one who initially got me writing.
Thanks again,
Rhonda

So glad that your dad supported and inspired your writing! 💖

This is a delightful continuation of the story. We get to know both Echo and Theo better. He seems like an enchanting boy--perhaps enchanted too. We will find out as we do along.
It is interesting that he cannot take her home. What secret world does he belong to? Again, we will find out as we go.
I am glad Echo found a friend and is safe. Teddy Bear Cindy is a wonderful companion for her and speaks the fears Echo cannot say.
Well written.
I look forward to more.

Thank you, Debi, for continuing the story with me.
We will learn more about Theo and his world at some point, but for now, we learn he exists and his world exists, too.
Theo enchanted? Somewhat... lol, for now his enchantment is a baby crush from Echo.
Take care,
Rhonda

This is unlike any story I would normally read, but I have already fallen in love with yours. Your writing skills are exceptional. You hit upon all thoughts, feelings and senses. Grand dialogue; great imagery; secrets and mystery. What more could a reader ask for?

Awww, thank you so much Gale!! You've made my day!! I'm glad you've taken a step outside your comfort zone to take a look at it. I'm especially appreciative of the six star gift.
It means a lot for a writer to get feedback that is helpful in developing the next chapters. I'm sure you are well aware of that as a writer, yourself.
Thanks again
Rhonda

Despite the love and friendship we have here, it is still heartbreaking to read about this little orphan. You pull on so many heartstrings. I do like your gradual introduction of us into a strange world though. This is gripping writing.

Thank you so much for taking time to read this book. I know it was a bit much at the beginning, and I wondered whether to tone it down, but decided on showing her work her feelings out, and with the help of her new friend.
Thanks so much for your comments,
Rhonda

I'm wondering as you write this new book, if you have a firm outline or not? What keeps my attention span which is like a five year old is the taut dialogue moving the plot along and making the young pair in the woods Heartfelt.

Thank you so much for your review, my friend. I have a very firm outline, so know where I'm heading with it all. This is going to be the backstory for a bigger tale, and I'm sure most have figured that part out. Like you said, it's designed to show a bond from childhood, and peak interest in the other world Theo comes from.
Again, thanks for reading and commenting,
Rhonda

Nicely written. Good work.
Greek ought to be good at cooking fish, what with all the water and islands.
Since we are fairly certain Echo will eventually get to Theo's world, the question is will it be when they are old enough to be in love.
Best wishes.

Now, Wayne, what would be the good of them meeting as children if they didn't eventually collide worlds?
Thank you for the lovely review, my friend,
Take care,
Rhonda

And I don't see how you manage to pen two poems every day. That's the real talent!!

Hi Sally, you were so quick to review and to award the beautiful 6 stars. You are precious in so many ways.
Thanks for the comments, as well. We will see a bit more from the children, then change courses. The mystery will remain for a bit.
Thanks again for reading, Hugs!!

I love this Rhonda, the thought of someone by the tragedy of losing their parents is being watched over and nourished by a young, wise boy, who, it seems, has been nurtured by a caring and close knit relationship with his family, Echo is in a dire situation but the boy is, to all intents her saviour. Beautifully written Rhonda, it s so good to see. blessings Roy

Roy, thank you for following the story. I know poetry is more your thing, so crossing over to read my work is a great honor!!
I'm glad you noticed the connection between the boy's taking care of Echo with his own tightly knit family. It is a theme that will carry on later.
Thanks again for your words and encouragement,
Rhonda
