great poem - the winter snow out west was a blessing but too much at once the drought may be easing a bit but they say they need a few more winters like that to say it is over. the west is still running low on water....

Wonderful poem in this very difficult form, mystery poetry, and the internal and external rhyme flow so well with your message.

It certainly has been a difficult winter that has continued into the spring.

A six for your hard work on this one, and my very best in the upcoming contest. Sending some Florida sunshine too!!

Hello author, I don't know how people survive the winter in these snowy states, or how they get function and get around on a day-to-day basis.
Enough is enough already--no more snow.

Your poem reads and flows well and has good internal rhyming--
Lord/hoard.

Well-chosen photo. I do love that big, wide blue sky, but you can keep the snow. Sharing is not caring, in this case. Lol.

A timely poem. Sorry about the upcoming flooding. LateBloomer

I know you aren't going to understand this but I prayed for snow this winter. It is a rarity here. I liked how you said hoard the snow. It does seem like certain areas get more snow than they can handle. We have hurricanes. We all have our battles. Gretchen

You are very welcome, Debi, and you have probably experienced worse, as many of us have.

Your contest entry was well done, Mystery Author.
The picture (yours?) plus your words paired perfectly.
Awesome job with the requirements of the prompt. I
liked the end rhymes and the internal rhymes. I could
hear the angst in your plea to the Lord.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes in the contest, Jan

Hello there, my friend this is a lovely poem on the essence of winter. This snow is crazy this season. I had snow squalls here in New York the other day. This morning it was 70° and hot. And right now there's thunderstorms. Very bipolar weatherð?¤£ð???ð??»â??â??ï¸?

Weather is getting more unpredictable every day. Global warming is real. In California we had tons of rain and floods. This week we had strong winds. Usually it's warm and sunny in Los Angeles.

Good job.

You met the poetry challenge with a flawless example. I can only imagine how tired you must be of the snow. Always beautiful at first, then tedious and treacherous. Hope it melts soon and that springtime will be glorious for you. Good luck in the contest.
