My husband loved pineapples and we'd take the tops and plant them forming so he could watch them. It is amazing to know they are so easy to grow, I could not eat them as much as I loved them. They would make me sick soon as I ate them. I still got them for hubby though.

I hate getting these things open, I get covered in juice and make an awful mess in my kitchen! I usually buy fresh cut pineapple! A fun post, love Dolly x

The answer to this question ( Pineapple is my favourite fruit .I have always wondered why God has created such delight within tough shin and thorns) may be .. drum roll please to p[rotect it from predators like you and me while its young.

And my husband and I went to Hawaii on vacation. We got to go around the island of Kauai. We were able to visit pineapple fields. Have a blessed day, and I wish you the best in the club event. Patricia.

Yes, after reading your notes I understood the meaning in the poem. It looks like you have to earn that delicious treat with a bit of work. In New Guinea we would slice the outside skin off with a big knife, then with a smaller one cut channels around the fruit taking out the seeds - it would form spirals which look really good. Then with a very skinny knife take out the hard centre like a cylinder, slice the pineapple and put the rings back over the centre - looks like quoits - very fancy table decoration. Whatever way, enjoy your pineapple! Julie Lau

Great picture and a great observation on the hard work involved in growing these delectable fruits. Delicious, especially fresh. Your color choice is great too. Works great with the wording and illustration.
