Good heart. That always creates wisdom. It is the place that God looks upon and dwells. My best to you in the contest. I see nothing wrong. The photo blends well.

Ah, so sweet. What a tender spirit in Kayla. My Sophia is the same. Beautifully written and illustrated in short verse poetry. Sending you my best today as always and best wishes for the upcoming contest.

Even as I age, I act the same when I see life's gone from a once vibrant frame, and yet with people, it's not the same ... usually for I know they who passed will be without pain life brought to them.

Here is a young girl with a big heart and love of Nature and all nature's creatures. I like the way you have used this name to create a lovely poem. Well done Beth. Good luck in the contest. Cheers

What a great portrait you created in this cinquain form. Even though Kayla knows the life cycles of nature (wise beyond her years), yet her compassionate heart is still moved by even the smallest creature's death. Best wishes in the contest!

Thank you, Helen. I hardly ever write and unrhymed poem so I glad you think it works. I appreciate your understanding comments.

You can be wise and sympathetic at the same time, always a good combination. I enjoyed the way you woven the meaning of the child's name into your poem. Very clever. Jacqueline

This is a good entry into the Cinquain contest. The text is a great size.
The message is clearly stated and easy to understand. I would probably substitute the word "YES" for YET because it would show even more so her empathy and understanding of how nature too may be hard/cruel. The visual fits perfectly. Good luck in the contest.

A poor little dead bird can almost breath anyone's heart if we stop to think about. A life drained too soon, never to live again. Well, unless there is a bird Heaven. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Ric. The story probably wouldn't be much with the sad picture. I needed all the help I could get.

Sweet innocence of youth captured in your words and picture. Love the alliteration you have thrown in to tie it all together.
A lovely read, Beth.

This cinquain, Kayla, has the proper formatting and finds that even the most in-tune soul will have to admit that the cycle of life leads back to death. Sad.

Thank you Bill, I appreciate the review and comments on my cinquain. I was the kind little girl that cried of dead birds, but I didn't want to deal with death.
