nicely done captures the mood of the landay poem which is a new one for me. I would have made this more of a political rant. but this works nicely too.

Politics draws sarcasm nowadays.

A landay mocking the landay form. Ouch! Love it! The pic adds to the fun.
First time I've heard about this short form.
Good luck in the contest, Bill!
Blessings Julia

That almost looks like an old railroad bridge that's being torn down. Reminds me of one I used to hang out on when I was a kid, called Highbridge. It was built in 1876 and at the time was the highest railroad trestle in the world, 275 feet. Thanks for sharing.

Haha. I think you can make "contraction" for your poetry to fit the syllable count rule. But using "syllab" to replace "syllable" is not a proper contraction. But since you are being sarcastic, it's ok.
Good luck.

Lol. You are having too much fun poking at syllable requirements. At least, it's not enforced character requirements as in reviews. I like the humor and the rhyme in the first line. Best wishes in the contest!

I'm betting the Bill here is you. Love the clipped second line to match the requirements. I suspect that is also the sarcasm needed. Good luck in the contest.

I read your post and then had to read the rules since I've never heard of a Landay. Now I see how artfully you used those rule and dropped the end of the last word. I am still smiling.
Best of luck in the contest.

Maybe he should reduce the size of his fonts. I realize that some want to appear flamboyant with flounces and flourishment's, but restraint is suggested in order for your complete thought to be recorded.

So, a smaller font correlates to more syllables?

No, I do not know what I am talking about, obviously.
