Hi, Jesse! You always seem to have a positive attitude I'd guess that virtue has gotten you through all the downs you've experienced. I, for one, applaud you, my friend! Best, JohnC

Jesse, I want to say I admire you for your ability to stay with the stuff even after you've had some setbacks. Keep on doing the things that you know you can do and guard yourself from those things it would cause you hurt. Five years ago I could hardly walk across the home and which I delivered. This last year I was able to walk 1504 miles. I didn't walk it all at once. It was one step at a time and in that five years I have not walked over 5200 miles. I am pretty proud of myself for that. Patricia.

Perseverance in the face of adversity are co-conspirators on the road to the greatest good. Although left undefined as to nature and intensity, you did reveal to your reader that your venture was fraught with both risk and reward. A past experience of triumph over tragedy will bolster one's courage to believe that ascendance to a plateau of prior victory is not only possible but probable. Excellent presentation. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, risk and reward are co-conspirators in almost everything I do. If it didn't offer a reward, it wouldn't be worth doing. Triumph over tragedy is a big word and it will bolster one's courage if they really mean something to them. Thanks for this fabulous review and exceptional rating!

-Your image choice represents your story well, Jesse.
-Your notes are appreciated, and I am glad you are getting support from FanStory friends.
-I am sorry you had a setback, but as you say, they have happened before, and you learn from them, and then restart the healing process.
-Hope you take it easy, and as you said, listen to what your body is telling you, and that is a good guide to follow.
-Take care and be well.

Muscle strain, Jesse?
Bummer, big time. Well, at least you didn't go down in the snow! ;)
Well, this too shall pass, don't let it stop you from managing the other muscles in your body though, there are plenty of others! Sedentary is not our friend, if I've learned anything I've learned that.
Good luck!
Susan :)

Hi there,
Oh, I used to try to do this all the time when I was recuperating from sport's injuries - trying to push that bit harder or testing myself and ending up knocking myself backwards - I'm also paying for it now many years after I stopped playing! lol
Always remember the long term goal over the short term pay-off.

Yes, it is easy to forget the long-term goal when you are having a great time. Payoffs are not as they seem, and you suffer pain until you wise up and get with the program!
Thanks for stopping by.

It's a good thing that you had a great time overtaxing your body. At least you have good memories to think about as you wait for the pain to ease and get back to exercising. Sometimes somethings are just worth doing.

When mind and body work in concert the result resemble pure magic. The problem however, is that the mind can sometimes play tricks on the body fooling you into thinking that you can do things you should not even attempt. Agony and despair can be the end result of such miscommunication. Best of luck in your recuperative process.

This is so true, my friend! When the mind plays tricks on me, I think I can do things I know I should not do and the results I am still paying for. Thanks for your good wishes for my speedy recovery!
