Lucy Chan certainly means business. Your descriptive prose allowed so much to be conveyed to the reader in so few words. Never an easy task when there is a word limit.

"Lunging toward her, Lucy shot twice." makes it sound like Lucy was doing the lunging. "As he lunged toward her, Lucy shot twice" might sound better, but it might affect your word count.
