Awe. This was so sweet. Loved the line repetition of that's what Lisa does. It shows how people count on her. She does what needs to be done and doesn't wait to be told. Doesn't expect applause. Just seems like a salt of the earth kind of person. We all need one if those in our lives. Gretchen

Lisa as you wrote about her is an exceptional person, who probably did too much, though you could never tell her that, because to her, there is never enough.
I hope her recovery goes exceptional well.

Gosh Debi, you write the most wonderful tributes to your friends!
Everyone should find that type of friend. It's not only a joy, but a blessing.
Like the striped font by the way. Nice work!

Thank you for sharing about your friend Lisa. I love the repeating line in your poem, and the rhymes and rhythm are great. I'm sorry for her accident, but hope she is recovering and will be able to bless you again. Blessings.

Wow, what an example to us all - your beautiful friend, Lisa! And I can so see why her heart and yours "blended" because those acts of kindness are just what the both of you do! Hope she recovers quickly and has peace about the things she can't do now. Beautifully told in rhyming verse, Debi!

Lisa's picture was adorable, Debi. She exuded love and caring.
Her baby looked so calm and relaxed. You did a great job showing
Lisa's big heart and kind soul. I liked the repeated last line of
'that's what Lisa does.' Lisa is an angel on earth without wings. She
is a loving, caring lady who thinks of others before herself. God
knew that and showed her how she could balance that part of her
life. Your words were well thought out, the rhymes worked great,
and your tribute to her flowed smoothly. I'm thrilled she was there
for you and you were there for her.
Thanks for sharing a beautiful poem, Jan

Lisa sounds like an angel on earth. God's intention was that we all look out for one another. That is how He blesses people and that is why He blesses us. Your beautiful poem tells Lisa's story of love and service to others and your choice of words to tell her story shows your love and concern for your friend.

Hi Debi, your poem is beautifully penned with soft and soulful imagery.
I especially liked:
Early on, when I was ill, she'd bring some meals for us,
Like she does for others, cause "that's what Lisa does"
(Lisa is indeed an Angel of Mercy and a wonderful friend, beautiful person. The world is blessed because Lisa is in it.)
Silky rhyming. Lovely photo. A pleasure to read. This poem made me smile. Well done. Keep the blue waters flowing. Xo. M

Thank you, Debi, for sharing this lovely poem about your friend, Lisa. Sometimes the Lord knows that we need a rest and allows things to come into our life to force us to slow down. God bless, Lisa, for all she does.

A warm tribute to a good friend. The final line in each stanza reminds the reader of Lisa's loyalty and hard work. Competent handling here of form and structure!
