Debi,
This is hilarious! I haven't even thought of the hokey pokey in years. What a killer last line with the double entendre. Good luck in the contest.

I'm a fan of so many that a couple days away and the reading/reviewing just piles sky high. I need to find time to write! Hopefully there will be more time next week.

I do know a few who cannot sit down at a party. Any form of line dancing gets them going. Very embarrassing on a cruise ship! lol I'm glad this one is strictly fiction...

Hi Dobora! as always, you are so sweet. I thank you so very much for your lovely review and kind words for my poem. And also for your gift of six stars!
You have no idea how much the whole package means to me!
It's so appreciated, my dear friend!

And that's what it's all about!
I'm still chuckling to myself as I'm posting this review.
I can't help myself. The photo starts off your post with a smile.
The addiction I'm viewing as something light and cheery situated in a family setting.
Very well done. I'm out of sixes. Sorry. It deserves one!
Cheers. John

I can't quite remember that little ditty, but you brought back memories of a time when I did. This is a good three liner, and you should do well in the contest.

Fun! This one got a giggle out of me smile and, really, "that's what it's all about!" I will be interested to see how this fares in the the 3 line contest which are most often packed by poems filled with imagery and nature. This one will stand out.

Lol. Never thought I'd review a hokey- pokey poem. Very original! But it is lighthearted, good fun, refreshing, and somehow captures a bit of joy. Best wishes for the contest.

a nice fun poem about a non-existing problem. I like the image and the feel of this snarky little poem about nothing. almost like a Seinfeld episode in fact

Hahaha! Yeah Jake, that's what it's all about!!!! Haha! You do know the words to the song, don't you?? And if not, then please look them up and get back to me, because I think you got the joke in the poem, but not sure.
Love your review and love your fun comments my dear friend. You are awesome!

Good entry for this contest. I am sure that people who are addicted to drugs, alcohol, or something else, tell themselves that they can quit any time they want, but that is seldom true

Cute! Sometimes? When I turn myself around? I fall down the basement stairs! Can you imagine that? I just should have "put my left foot in, take my left foot out..." This made me laugh despite the pain! Way to make me smile, Debi.

Karenina, my poor friend. Actually you should have:
put your right foot down, then your left foot down
and continued this, till both feet were on the ground
It's a little bit more pokey, but your hokey's safe and sound
That's what it's all about!
.
Thanks for the fun review sweetie! Get better Soon!
-
Cute! I got SO stuck on the "You put your one foot in--And you shake it all about..." part that I shook it all the way down the stairs! Not at all what the good old Hokey Pokey intended I can tell you! Ouch!
-
You really did shake it all about! That is Not what it's all about! 😘❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰
We must have been long lost sisters, because I think I must have been feeling you you go down and that is what possessed me to write this because I knew your hokey was in danger. Why didn't I feel it earlier. I might have saved you!
Let me know how you're doing. Ok?
-
I am ... well, I'm gonna go with (like you!) ON a triumphant path of healing.
End of story! No... NEW BEGINNING of story!
Let's keep our hokey's pokeying!
