This is a nicely written three line poem about nature. Rhymes well. Beautiful photo choice to compliment your words as well. Good luck in the contest.

This is a well written poem that follows the regulations of the three line poetry contest - well done. I like the idea behind the poem, ie that even in winter trees are undergoing some changes that we do not see. I don't quite see the connection with man though. Do you mean that man undergoes constant change as well perhaps?
Nevertheless this poem reads well so good luck with it

yes, that is the intended correlation. Whether mind, body, spirit man and woman are in constant stages of change quite unseen often.

Hi Jim,
This is a quick insightful poem that reminds us things are changing on the inside and outside at all times even if we don't see them.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Good luck in the contest.

I just too another five beautiful snow laden trees picture today. It has been like this for a month. Snow and snow. Fortunately we love skiing. We went for skiing today in a perfect 30F. It will be like this in the next ten days at least. It seems no change. But the change is gradual. I can't wait for our trip to Spain in February to have some sunshine.

This 5-7-7, Constant Change, has the proper formatting and seems to compare man with the steady and constant oak, which endures what others cannot and survives,

Well said in your philosophical verse from he 3 Line contest. I agree with your sentiment and I also liked how you bonded the piece and used stark artwork to enhance it. Great job and good luck, my friend.

Oops, Jim, so sorry for the typos... bonded was meant to be bolded... autocorrect ugh! :)

change - inevitable. A new gray air, a lb, gained or lost similar to memories made or forgotten. ...............................................................................................

So correct!

So true. Change is inevitable, but we can anchor ourselves and survive it all like that sturdy oak tree. Not easy sometimes...a lot of food for thought in a short piece.

June, I agree fully, at times change is overwhelming.

A wonderful 3 line poem! I love the personification of winter and the idea that it's grasping hold of the tree's life. I like too the thoughts that while it can't be seen, change is taking place with a parallel that change happens in our lives sometimes in the seasons of waiting. Great word choices and imagery here!
