Beautiful presentation and poem which describe the loyal, lifelong connection that swan couples experience. "Shadows cannot shatter their world" of committed love. Best wishes in the contest and congratulations on your 300th post!!

Very beautiful and it has a nice meaning and truth to it. At night, in total darkness, there are no shadows to bring you down. Nothing to see or interfere with your love. A time and place where you can be yourselves.
Very nice entry.

There is so much going on in this poem. The comparison of the swans with the twin moons--the moon being such a spiritual symbol ... and then the shadows shattering! I think of the swans' reflections and how their slightest movement would cause the reflection to shatter. You leave so much in your poem for the mind to eagerly work with.
Congratulations on your 300th post!

Thank you for such a kind and specific review. You brought up yet another aspect that might have been used in a second stanza, only this contest had such a short limit.
