This is such an excellently written Tanka. The author's notes are very informative. Wow, I didn't know that. Tanka was an offshoot of the exchange of love messages between lovers, and that's amazing. The Heian period in Japan must be the golden age for women poetess that time. Thanks for sharing.

The art work again was Exceptional.
It also, read well and flowed well with no Grammar Issues.

I loved the "shores of dreams" and the way this tanka starts from the physical world of hearing the nightingale on a summer's night into a dream world full of emotion for the beloved.

Wow! This poem is pure beauty in word, structure and message. The images are also a beautiful accompaniment or canvas to your word painting. My only wonder was whether the blue nightingale should sing "on" midsummer's eve or "in"? I may have leaned towards "on". It's a tiny detail. Pure elegance and class!
